Chapter 13: WHAT!?

It's Zack" she replied.

"What!" Zack and I yelled at the same time.

"Zack you and Jessica are twins. When Your guys' mom had you guys she asked me to take you in and raise you because she couldn't handle and pay for both of you. I told her I could. I took care of you for you about 15 years." April said.

Just then me and Zack looked at each other in shock. Just then I got up and ran. I ran. And ran. I ran until I ended up at the hospital. I walked in and sat next to Allies bed she looked up at me as I sat down next to her bed in one of those uncomfortable hospital chairs.

"Hey what's wrong?" She asked putting a hand on my knee.

"I have a twin. It's Zack." I said quietly. 

"What!" She yelled. I chuckled because that was my same reaction.

"Yah. That was my reaction to." I said to her.

"I thought you said you only have one family member left and that was your uncle." She said.

"Yah I'm just as surprised as you. But yah my twin is Zack. When do you come out of this hospital?" I asked trying to changed the topic.

"Tomorrow. Want to go shopping after I get out?" She asked.

"Yah sure. It would be a good way to get my mind off of things." I said answering truthfully.

~~about an hour passed with us just talking about random crap~~

"Well I should probably get going. But Allie it was really fun talking to you. I'll pick you up from your house at 2:00 sharp." I said standing up.

"Ok girl. But I am going to come over to your house after shopping just so you know." She said with a strait face. We both burst out laughing after a few seconds.

"Bye Allie." I said walking out of the room.

I walked home and right as I opened the door I saw Jackson and Zack sitting on couch with there moms on the other one. Zack looked me in the eyes the looked back down at the floor.

"Zack I want to say that I am sorry." He opened his mouth to respond but I cut him off. And began talking again "look I know that it wasn't right for me to just run away like that but it's hard to wrap my head around things. From seeing our mom,dad and grandma died right before my eyes it's hard to know that I only have you left. Well and that scum bag of an uncle. I know it's hard for you to. But I just needed to be alone or better yet be with Allie for a few hours. I really am sorry for the way I reacted." I said finishing off my long unprepared speech.

"Hey Jessica can we talk in private?" He asked.

"Yah sure." I answered. I started to lead him up to my room. We got in my room and the first thing that happened caught me by surprise. He hugged me. It took me a few seconds to respond but I hugged him back. We stood there for a few seconds. Before he broke the silence.

"Hey Jessica what was mom and dad like."

"Well mom was super sweet and she was the best cook ever. I remember one day she asked me if I could have anything in the world what would I have. I said an older brother so he could play with me and protect me. She told me that I did have one. I didn't believe her. I told her if I did he would be standing with me playing. She told me I would meet you one day. Oh dad he was a whole nother story. He would tell me that one day I would grow up and be a nice lady. He said I would be polite and lady-like. I am sort of but not really. They were amazing parents. Her I'll show you a picture." I pulled the picture out of my back pocket I brought it with me where ever I went.

"Wow. I can't believe we never figured out before. Because everyone said we look alike and we have the same birthday. Then to add to that when we were little we always had our birthday party's together."

"Let's get back there probably wondering where we are." I suggested.

He agreed. We walked out of my bedroom and made our way downstairs. We got downstairs and saw every one in the couches in deep thought.

"Hey guys." I said waving my hand a little.

"Hey Jessica I have a question." Jackson said.

"Fire away Jackson." I said back.

"Where were you when you ran." He asked

"I went to the hospital and talked to Allie. I told her what's going on with my life and what just happened. We talked about random crap and I just got some advice from her. We also planned to go to the mall." I responded.

"Oh." Was all he could say.

There was an awkward silence. That was until April broke it. Which I was happy for.

"How about you guys go upstairs and talk or play some video games while we talk." She said

We all went upstairs and went into Jackson's bedroom. After ten minuets of playing video games I got up.

"Hey guys I'm going to go to bed." I said

'Okay' was heard from both the guys. As I was walking downstairs to get a drink I over heard April and Jackie talking.

"How do we tell them?" That voice I recognized as April

"Well he got out just the other day what happens if he comes after her of him." Said Jackie

"Well if he comes after the kids what will we do?" April said

I knew exactly what they were talking about. It was my uncle. I knew he was out but I didn't know how to tell them I know. Because it would seem like I was a stalker on him. I was told he would have 13 years in prison I would count the years. I knew he was out. I decided to walk into the kitchen because I've heard enough of it.

I walked into the kitchen." I know he's out you don't need to find a way to tell me I've been counting down the years." As I said that they starred at me like I've grown two heads. "The hard thing for you to do is how to tell Zack." With that said I went to the cupboard and grabbed a cup.  Go me some water and went to bed.

Hey sorry I haven't been updating but I've had a writers block. I just got out of school and I have to pack to go on a trip to California.
