Chapter 2:
My parents were great but I always felt that they were hiding something from me. The look on their eyes never seemed like they were being true, like underneath all that goodie touchieness they had a dark secret. Anyway, My Dad was a pilot and was working for Buenos Aires, he was transfarred from Tokyo to Kansas for 21 years, he had married my mom and raised a family all in Kansas. It was home for me.
I was born and raised here for 15 years. But I guess I had to move on. "How was your last day sweetie?" asked Dad without much care. "It was good, I got to say goodbye to all my friends and I even recieved a gift from Rachel." I said excitedly."What was it?" asked Dad. "It was kind of weird, it was a sapphire with a weird note saying 'forever live the queen' she said it indicated safety." I replied. The weirder thing was that my dad started sweating and my dad NEVER reacts to anything. "Interesting" he said with a little sweat dripping from his face. I wasn't sure if the gift made him nervous or maybe it was just something else. "So, you excited for living in Argentina for the next few years?" asked Dad. "It seems pretty cool, especially the latin boys." I replied. Oops I shouldn't have said that. "Umm Ok good, so you want something to eat?" he said. I was sure he wanted to change the topic after that awkward moment we had moments ago and I'm glad he did."I'm not really hungry, grabbed some pasta with Ray on the way back home" I said with a full stomach. "Ok, wait whose Ray? A guy? Is he a nice guy?" My dad asked with complete interest.
"Dad Ray is Rachel's nickname......, I'll see you later." I said. Could the day get any awkwarder and weirder?I went upstairs straight to my mom's room.
