  Chapter: 3

I went upstairs to my mom's room, I looked all over but she wasn't there. I wanted her to sign my transfer certificate but she wasn't there. I looked all over the house. I looked in the toilets, my bedroom, the guest bedroom and the attic but she was gone. I went downstairs and asked my dad where she was. "She must be upstairs, she can't just disappear like that. Did you look everywhere?"said Dad with a little worry."I've looked everywhere but she isn't there." I said.

My dad tried to call my mom's cell phone but it was switched off."Dad where is she?" I asked. "Let's check in her room again." replied Dad. I tried to look close this time, maybe she had left a note or something. Something caught my eye, it seemed like a red block of shine. It was a ruby.My mom was superstitious about stones and never wore them. I couldn't believer the fact that the stone was lying around in her bedroom.Even her wedding ring wasn't made of diamonds, it was made of pure white gold. Next to the gleaming stone was a note which said 'la oscuridad ha aumentado'. What language was that? And what did it even mean?

Why were stones suddenly appearing in my life. I could feel something with that ruby, it wasn't a good feeling though. I felt sad, insecure, angry all in one second. Maybe my mom was right about these stones.      "It's time" said Dad
