Chapter 28: The Truth Comes Out!

Lizzie's POV:
   I'm still in the Jubjub forest and I still can't believe Chase and Darling kissed. I knew they liked each other, but still. I layed on the tree branch and closed my eyes when my phone rang. I thought I put it on vibrate. It's my mom, ugh, ignore. I put my phone on vibrate and just relaxed as I forgot about the world.

Maddie's POV:
    "5 more minutes and then we'll reach the Jubjub forest. We should go back by the time we see that sign, she won't go any further." Kitty explained. "That's it! It's like a riddle!" I exclaimed as I bounced but Dina made me stop bouncing and I pouted at her. "What do you mean?" Dina asked. "Oh, right. Well, whenever Lizzie doesn't want to be found she hides so good that no one ever finds her. We search everywhere and still can't find her, but the thing is, there's one place we have never looked for her. One place we've always been scared to go to, but knowing Lizzie she wouldn't be scared. Not when we were kids, and not now." I explained and they gasped. "She wouldn't!" Dina exclaimed. "I think she would!" Kitty exclaimed and we ran off to find her.

Lizzie's POV:
      I heard footsteps but figured whoever it is will eventuallt leave so I just kept my eyes closed as I cleared my mind. My phone vibrated and I saw Daring was calling, for the fifth time. I answered it. "Hey." I greeted. "Is everything okay?" Daring asked. "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I asked. "Because you haven't answered my calls or texts." Daring replied. "I'm fine, just been busy." I lied. "Are you sure?" Daring asked. "Y-yeah." I replied. "Maybe I should go over there." Daring suggested. "No, the truth is.... I kind of had a big fight with my mom and stormed off, now all of my friends are looking for me and failing. But I'm fine, for the most part. I just need some time to think and to be alone. But I'm fine and I love how much you care about me, but I am fine right now." I explained with s smile. "I do. I'll call you later to check on you." Daring stated. "Okay." I agreed and hung up. I closed my eyes again.
       "Lizzie!" Maddie called. I opened my eyes and saw Kitty, Maddie, and Dina standing at the edge looking around. I sighed and closed my eyes. I opened them again and saw they were all gone and sighed in relief. "Hey." Kitty greeted from behind. I jumped and turned around. "How?" I asked. "I teleported us up here." Kitty replied. "Leave me alone." I stated. "No, we care about you and want to help you." Dina stated and I jumped off the tree and followed by them. "We know what happened and about Chase." Dina stated. "Yeah, well I just found out that everyone has been lying to me my entire life." I stated. "Chase too." Maddie reminded me and I nodded. Then my phone rang and I saw it was Daring. I answered it as I forgot who was with me. "Hey." Daring greeted. "Hi." I greeted. "Are you okay?" Daring asked. "Yes. Considering." I replied with a small smile. "Yeah, I got your text about what happened. I can't believe it." Daring stated. "Me either." I agreed. "Are you sure you're okay?" Daring asked and I let out a small laugh. "Yeah, I'm fine." I reassured. I looked up and saw the three of them looking at me weirdly. "I have to go, my friends found me." I stated. "Okay, call me later." Daring stated. "I will." I agreed and I hung up.
      "What was that about?" Kitty asked. "Nothing." I replied. "Lizzie...." Dina started. "How did you find me?" I asked. "Maddie. She turned this into a riddle and solved the riddle. She is the best riddle master ever, besides her dad of course." Kitty replied and I nodded. "Was that who I think it was? Are you guys dating? Did my plan, well, his plan work?" Maddie asked and I gave a small smile. "Fine, it was." I replied and Maddie jumped up and down. "What are you guys talking about?" Kitty asked. "Lizzie and Daring are dating!" Maddie replied 2nd their eyes went wide. "Why didn t you tell us?" Dina asked. "I wanted to, I was just trying to fins the right time." I replied and they nodded. "Lets go!" Maddie exclaimed as she started bouncing away and we all laughed.
      We found the others and they all gave me big hugs. "Where did you guys found her?" Alistair asked. "Jubjub forest. Maddie turned this into a riddle and solved the riddle." Dina replied. "The jubjub forest! That's extremely dangerous!" Bunny exclaimed. "I know. But it has always been where I hid if I didn't want anyone to find me." I stated and they all gasped. "As long as you're okay." Tammy stated. "Are you okay?" Tony asked and I nodded. "She's more then okay! She's dating Daring!" Maddie exclaimed. "What?" Everyone asked in unison. "Don't make a big deal about it." I stated. "Why and why didn't you tell us?" Cari asked. "Because I kind likw him and I was going to tell you, I just was waiting for the right time." I replied. "Are you happy?" Marchness asked. "Yeah, I am." I replied with a smile. "Oooh. Lizzie has a crush." Tony stated. "I will slap the day lights out of you.' Lizzie stated and Tony shut up as everyone laughed. "At least you're still the same old Lizzie." Tammy stated. "Are you going to see your mom?" Chase asked and everyone got quiet. "You should." Darling put in. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Fine." I agreed and we left.
   We went to my castle and to my mom. "Elisabeth! There you are!" Mom exclaimed as she came over and gave me a big hug, but I didn't return the hug. "I'm so glade you're okay." Mom stated and I sighed. "Now, about your destiny. You don't see it now but you'll love to be just like me." Mom stated and everyone's eyes widended. They're shocked but I knew this was coming. "But I don't want to be just like you!" I exclaimed. "You will." Mom stated as she sat on her throne. "You don't get it! Everyone hates me and is afraid of me even though I'm not like you. I don't want to be evil! I don't want to take people's heads! I don't want to try to kill Alistair! The only thing I like in my destiny is being the next Queen of Hearts! All you care about is what you want, not what I want or need!" I explained. I turned around so I can leave but my friends blocked my path. I sighed and turned back around as I crossed my arms. "I know you don't want to be evil, but this is will be great!" Mom exclaimed. "Ugh!" I exclaimed frustrated. "Come down. Maybe we can talk about this." Mom suggested. "We won't end up talking. You won't listen and then you'll tell me to do it no matter what I want or how I feel." I explained. "I know it seems like that, but...." Mom started. "It doesn't seem like that, it is that. I just want a mom who cares!" I exclaimed and everyone gasped. "I do care! I just want the best for you!" Mom exclaimed. "But this isn't best for me, you don't know what's best for me. What's best for me is to be happy and that will only happen if I'm not evil. Did you know I went in the Jubjub forest? Yeah, I did, again. Yeah, I said again. This wasn't my first time. I use to go in there all of the time when we were kids so no one will find me. That's my place to think and be away from everyone and you didn't even know. You don't pay attention to me until I say I don't want to be exactly like you." I explained. "That's not true." Mom insisted. She's agitating me. "Yes! It is!" I exclaimed and mom sighed. "Maybe I never really listened. We'll talk about it." Mom stated and I smiled. "Okay." I stated.
     My friends and I walked out of the castle. "You didn't tell your mom about Daring." Marchness stated. "She's not ready for that. We agreed to tell you guys and Dexter, that's it for right now." I stated and they nodded.
