Chapter 34: Rescue!

Alistair's POV:
       "Where would Courtly take her?" I asked. "Apparently not her house." Bunny replied. "Obviously." Kitty stated. "That's why I thought maybe she would. The best hiding places are in plain sight." Bunny stated. "Except when it's not." Maddie stated. Chase and Darling sighed. "Not another riddle." Darling stated and Maddie couldn't help but giggle. But then she turned serious. "No one ever thinks to look in plain sight, but that's why we did. Courtly was counting on that. So she put Lizzie in the last place we would look." Maddie explained and I smiled. "You are pretty smart." Marchness stated and Maddie smiled. "Where's that?" Dina asked. "That, I do not know." Maddie replied. "What do we do now?" Cari asked. "Turn this into a riddle." I replied. "What?" Chase asked. "Why is it always a riddle?" Darling asked. "Are you really surprised?" Chase asked and they both laughed. "What is some place that no one goes and no one really knows about?" I asked. There was a moment of silence. "Actually, there is legend." Maddie stated. "Legend?" Tony asked. "Like make believe?" Tammy asked. "Yes, but it might be true. I've always wanted to find out, now we can." Maddie replied. "What is it?" I asked. "A prison, for only thoughs who are truly evil. They get banished there. The entrance to it is in the castle." Maddie explained. "But that wouldn't make it the last place to look." Tony stated. "It's the last place to look but also in plain sight. That's why it has to be there." Maddie stated. "That makes a lot of since." I stated. "Where in the castle?" Dina asked. "Somewhere hidden." Maddie replied. "Do you know where?" Bunny asked. "No. But I don't think it would be a door that leads to a room." Maddie replied. "Then what?" Cari asked. "An entrance to another place that's not in the castle." Maddie replied. "Lets go look, then." I stated and we all left.

Lizzie's POV:
      I heard footsteps and knew it was Courtly. I sighed and she laughed. "They know I took you, but they don't know where." Courtly stated. "Could you tell me where?" I asked and she laughed. "You can't trick me." Courtly replied. "It's not like I can even get out." I stated. "Alright. This is the prison." Courtly replied. Prison? "The only prison is my mom's dungeon." I stated and there was a moment of silence. "Wait.... As in the legend prison?" I asked. "It's not a legend if it's real." Courtly replied and I gasped. She finally took of my blindfold and I looked around. Then I looked back at her. "You won't win!" I exclaimed and she laughed. "It looks like I already have." Courtly stated and she walked off.

Chase's POV:
    I still can't believe that Lizzie is my twin sister. Now she's been kidnapped by Courtly Jester. We're at the Queen's castle and looking for an entrance to this prison world. This might be a little hard.
      I was looking in the painting room. There must be thousands of paintings here. There all different pictures, colors, sizes, different everything. What's that? I walked over to a rather large painting. It was a painting of the Queen of Hearts and she held two babies, one in each hand. One was a girl and one was a boy. The girl was on the left, signaling she was older. There were writings on the bottom so I got closer hoping I could read it. "Lizzie and Chase at Birth." I read and then I gasped. I went to touch baby me but when I did my hand went through. I took it back and gasped. I did it again and this time I went completely through. I gasped as I looked around. It's a prison world, the prison world. There are cages everywhere and some has prisoners. There's even a stair case, I think that's where Lizzie is. I texted them to go to the painting room.

Darling's POV:
    I was looking around and then Cari walked in. "Oh, hey Darling." Cari greeted. "Hey, Cari." I greeted. "Anything?" Cari asked. "Nope." I replied and she sighed. "You?" I asked. "No." Cari replied and I sighed. Then both of our phones went off. "It's Chase." Cari stated. "He texted you too?" I asked. "Probably texted all of us." Cari replied and I nodded. "Go in the painting room." I read. "Maybe he found something." Cari suggested. "Lets hope." I stated. "Come on!" Cari stated and we left.
      We all met up outside of the painting room and then walked in. "Where's Chase?" Alistair asked. "He told us to meet him here." Tammy stated. "Unless it was a trick from Courtly to throw us off." Bunny suggested. "How?" Tony asked. "I don't know." Bunny replied. I slowly walked towards a large painting. "I don't think so." I stated. "Then where is he?" Dina asked. "I don't know." I replied. I was about to touch it when something came out of it. I screamed and stepped back. They all ran to me and then Chase stepped out. "Chase!" I exclaimed and ran to hug him tightly.

Chase's POV:
      I turned around and saw the painting that I came through, only it's not a painting. It's a mirror and I can see the Painting room in the castle. I saw the door open and Darling and the Wonderlandians walked in and started looking around and talking. After a few moments I put my hand through and accidentally scared Darling. Then I stepped through and they all sighed in relief. "Chase!" Darling exclaimed and ran up and hugged me tight and I hugged back. We pulled away. "What's that?" Kitty asked. "The entrance to the Prison World." I replied and they all gasped. "Follow me." I stated and we all went back into the painting.
  We were walking up the stairs. I was in front with Darling next to me. "So? What's with that painting that brought us here?" Darling asked. "It's the Queen with Lizzie and myself." I replied. "That's what I thought. But how do you know?" Darling asked. "There were tiny words at the bottom and that's what it said." I replied and she nodded. The rest of the climb was silent and a bit awkward.

Bunny's POV:
     We climbed 10 flights of stairs and I'm warned out. I stopped at the top and took places. Every floor we were at had a bunch of smallish cages, some were empty and some weren't. But this floor, the top floor, has just one large cage that filled most of the floor. "There's no door." Maddie stated. I walked closer and saw a square. I lifted it up and it's a little peep hole with metal bars. "Lizzie!" I exclaimed with a gasp. Lizzie looked up and smiled. "You found me!" Lizzie exclaimed and we smiled. "How do we get in?" I asked. "I think I might have something in my hat." Maddie stated and she started looking. "Here's Lizzie's Hobby Horse." Maddie stated as she held it up. Alistair took it from her and started banging the door. "Where's Dina?" Tony asked. Then we saw Dina turn into human form after she was in doremouse form. "Brilliant!" Tammy exclaimed. "Here!" Maddie exclaimed and threw a bobby pin at her. She picked it up and started unlocking the chains and soon she was free and they hugged. After Alistair banged the door enough I kicked it hard and it busted off and then Lizzie and Dina ran to us. "How about I teleport us out?" Kitty asked and we laughed because we didn't think about that last time.
    We held on and the next thing I knew we were in the Painting room and we all group hugged. "Well, well, well." Courtly stated. We all pulled apart and looked at her. "Looks like I underestimated you." Courtly stated and Lizzie stepped forward. "Looks like the battle begins." Lizzie stated and Courtly smirked.
