Chapter 2

Stein's POV

I sighed as I puffed on my cigarette. Today was the first day of school and back to being bored all the time. "I wonder who I would get to dissect this year." I thought as I walked into class. There was a girl by my desk in a chair. She was looking at her hands. I walked over to her and she looked up. "What are you doing?" I asked and she stood looking down. "I-i'm new here and didn't know where to sit." she said and I pulled the cigarette out of my mouth and let the smoke leave my lungs.

She coughed lightly and I blinked a bit. "Maka!" I said and looked up. "Yes, Professor?" she asked and I turned to her. "Do you mind if she sits by you?" I asked and she shook her head. "No, Not at all!" she said and the girl looked up. "Thank you." she said and I nodded. I watched her as she put her hands in her pockets and walked up the stairs and sat down. She reminded me a bit of Soul.

I walked over to my chair and sat in it backwards. "Today class there is a new student." I said and everyone looked at me and took their seats. "Can you stand?" I asked and she stood still looking down. "State your name." I said and she sighed bored. "I'm (y/n) , (y/n) (l/n)." she said and sat down. "Thank you Ms. (l/n)." I said and put my head on the back of my chair. "Today class we will be dissecting a very rare species." I said and smirked. The rest of the class groaned but Luna.

I looked at her and she sat up a bit to look better. Her glasses were shining with the light from the room so I couldn't see her eyes. She seemed to be having a smirk on her face. I smiled a bit and looked down allowing the light to cover mine as well. I stood and grabbed the cloth from the cage and ripped it off. It showed a beautiful bird. It had light blue wings and dark brown almost black and purple flowers. I looked over to (y/n) and saw that she had (h/c) hair.

"Hmm." I hummed under my breath and pulled the bird out of it's cage and onto the table. I strapped it down and looked at the class. (y/n) was still the same position. I looked at her soul and saw that it was a deep grey color. It had a strong wavelength as well. I looked at it and saw that she was part Weapon and part Meister. I smiled and looked at the bird. "(y/n)." I said and she looked up at me letting the light come off her glasses. "Yes?" she asked and I motioned for her to come here.

She came down the stairs and stood next to me hands in her pockets. "Would you like to dissect this bird?" I asked and without looking up she grabbed the scalpel from my hand and walked over to the bird. She looked at the end of the scalpel and touched it a bit. She smiled and looked at the bird. She put a steady hand on its chest and made a perfectly straight line to the end of the bird's stomach. It wasn't too deep and I stood there surprised. "Very good (y/n)." I said and she smirked some more still not looking at me.

Your POV

"Very good (y/n)." I heard and smirked. I saw the bird and it was shaking from the pain. I put the scalpel down and clamped the incision open. I looked at the teacher and still smirking. He had a screw in his head. A line of stitches down his face and glasses. He had sliver hair and round glasses. He even had stitches on his lab coat. "I got you started anything else?" I asked smirking. He looked at me and shook his head.

"No that will be all." he said and I put my hands in my pockets and walked up the stairs to my seat. "You did great." Maka said and I smiled. "Yea you looked like Stein down there." the boy from earlier said and I smiled looking at my very handsome teacher. "Yea I guess I did."

-Later After Class-

Ding Dong Dong Ding. The bell rang and it was time for us to leave. I stood throwing my bag over my shoulder. I put my free hand in my pocket and walked slowly down the stairs. The rest of the students were gone when I hit the bottom of the stairs. I went to the door and reached out to open it. "(y/n)..." I heard and turned to see my Professor. "Yes?" I asked and he motioned for me. I put my bag by the door and walked over still looking at the floor.

"Yes?" I asked. "What was that today?" he asked and I looked at him over my glasses. "What was what?" I asked and he sighed turning to me in his chair. "You looked as if you enjoyed the dissection today." he said and looked at the floor. "You do don't you?" I asked and he looked at me. "Maybe so." he said and I nodded. "So why can't one of your students?" I asked and he stood there looking at me.

Stein's POV

She actually liked the dissection. Maybe I could dissect her and find out why. No I wouldn't do that to her beautiful pale skin. Wait, what am I saying? I sighed and she walked over to the door. "Tomorrow I want to see your weapon form." I said and she nodded grabbing her bag. "I don't know what it is about her but man is she....interesting."
