Today Preston,Shelby, Mitch, Connor and I are going on a supply run. We need food, bullets, clean clothes, basically anything useful. I walk out of the school/base and head towards the truck." Hey! Lachlan if you can find any black or camouflaged clothes I call first dibs" Jess shouts from our little garden." Okay, Jess" I shout back and continue my walk." Lachlan! Lachlan, we should totally find some Pokemon cards" Preston says gleefully, I wonder what's gotten into him." Sure but your going down mate" I say and jokingly push him. He chuckles and pushes me back harder." Okay clowns knock it off we gotta get going" Mitch shouts from the truck and we run over to it. Connor is already sitting in the front seat and Jess is sitting in the back seat. I let Preston go in first then I get in. Mitch begins to ramble about random things but I'm paying no attention. Instead, I'm staring out the window looking for any little shops or towns. It was boring at first but then I saw grey smoke in the air." Mitch hold up, look in the sky grey smoke" I shout and Mitch brakes roughly." A fire of some sort, and it's still burning" Shelby says as she squints her eyes." How do you know" Connor asks glaring slightly at Shelby like she caused the fire." Grey smoke means the fire is still burning and white smoke means the fires out" she states showing no emotion." Let's check it out" Preston suggests " that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard" Shelby mutters " the hell did you say" Preston shouts angrily!" I mean the people who started it could be armed and gee I don't know we could possibly die" she says and raises her voice at the end." Then we act peaceful and say we don't want any trouble" Preston counters and Shelby sighs and gives him the finger." Okay I guess we're going" Mitch says awkwardly and starts to drive over to the smoke. I saw signs like all peaceful people welcomed, sky army straight ahead. Soon we arrived at some huge camp thing, with huge walls, a huge gate,and guards. Mitch parks the car as the guards raise their weapons. He steps out slowly and the rest of us do the same. " Friend or foe" one shouts " friend" Mitch respond kindly. A man wearing sunglasses appears and speaks " welcome,welcome, I am Sky, leader of the sky army base and we welcome you" he says kindly and the gates open. We walk in and see a huge fire in the middle of this mini town. There was houses, people biking, children playing with their dogs and friends. What the hell is this place? The man in sunglasses jumps down from the wall and shakes all of our hands." You look like you've been on the road for awhile.... how about you come join us at our barbecue" he offers. We all look at Mitch and he coughs then says " we would love to but we have to look for supplies" the mans face goes blank then he grins " after the barbecue we will give you supplies and then you can leave" he offers and Mitch says " why not! We'll get a good meal and supplies". We all nod and follow the guy. This place is hella sketchy but I mean the barbecue smells good so I'll trust it for now. We arrive at the place where the barbecue was being held. It seemed like a town square or something. As soon as people saw us we were all given a pop and a burger. I devoured that thing within two minutes but Preston just shoved the whole thing in his mouth and chewed." You guys are sure hungry" the man chuckles and I slowly sip my pop this place ain't so bad. So far I've learned about places is that good food = trust worthy people. I mean would you trust some random person in the apocalypse if their food tasted like shit? No. The answer is no.
