Chapter 3

~Dan's Point Of View~

I walked into mine and Phil's apartment with a smile still on my face. "That girl was really nice wasn't she?" I said to Phil.

"Yea she was! You seemed friendlier than usual to her compared to other people" Phil said with a joking grin.

"Oh shut up, I just wanted her to feel comfortable around us." I said quickly defending myself.

"Oh sure...." Phil said laughing. "What ever you say...lover boy!" Phil says quickly before running out of the room.

As Phil left the room I sat on the couch hoping he was just kidding around. I switched on the TV and watched some cooking show for about 10 minuets until Phil came in the TV room. He sat down next to me and grabbed his laptop. "Oh I forgot to tell you, my parents wanted to come visit me tonight," Phil said looking at me, "You wouldn't mind leaving for a few hours would you?" "Nope not at all," I replied "Maybe this is the perfect opportunity for you to go find Emma's apartment then," Phil said as he elbowed me.

"I'm not going to go door to door until I find hers, that's creepy, im just gonna check the hallway every once in a while to see if I see her come out at all..." I said trying to make that sound a lot less creepy than it actually was.

"Well do what you have to do I guess" Phil said laughing, I knew he took that as creepy which was the exact opposite of what I wanted to happen.

"Maybe I will just go door to door...." I said

"Good choice" Phil said still laughing. "Well maybe I'll start now, see ya later" I said as I walked out of the room.

I walked out into the hallway thinking about yesterday trying to see if I could remember where I saw Emma's apartment. I walked slowly down the hallway hoping maybe she would walk out of the door. I decided the best option would be to sit outside my apartment door and see if she came out.

About ten minuets passed and still no sign of Emma. "See ya later Em!" A girl yelled as she stepped out of her apartment. Emma? Is that her apartment? I guess theres only one way to find out. I stood up and walked past the girl that was leaving. I walked up to the door and took a deep breath before I knocked at the door. "Coming!" I heard a voice yell from inside. The 5 seconds I was waiting for her to open the door felt sooooo long. "Hey" Emma said until it clicked in her head that it was me. "Dan! Hey!! She said sounding a bit shocked.

"Hi Emma" I said smiling.

"What are you doing here?" She said excitedly.

"I just wanted to say hi!" I said trying to sound casual.

"Ok! Well hi!" She said laughing. "Wanna come inside or something?" She asked.

"If you don't mind," I said hoping she wouldn't.

"Not at all! Go ahead and sit down and I'll get you some coffee and this time I'll try not to spill all over you!" She said smiling at me.

"Oh I don't mind if you do" I said laughing.

She walked into her kitchen to get the coffee. "So how did you find my apartment?" I heard her say from the kitchen.

"I just was... coming back from the store and heard your friend say bye, and I figured it must have been your apartment and it was!" I said trying to make sure she didn't know I was basically stalking her.

"Well what a coincidence," she said walking out of the kitchen "here's your coffee!" She said as she handed it to me and sat down.

"Thanks!" I said taking a sip. "What did you have to get at the store?" she asked.

"Nothing actually, Phil's parents are visiting him tonight and he wanted me out of the apartment so I just went on a little trip around to some stores." I said lying once again hoping she wouldn't notice.

"That sounds fun! You know, I still can't believe I'm talking to you!" Emma said.

"Why's that?" I asked.

"Well because I've watched you on YouTube for so long and I always imagined what it would be like to meet you! I always figured it would be a quick hello at a meet and greet, but your at my apartment! It's just so crazy!" Emma said smiling at me.

Looks like she's just as happy to talk to me as I am to talk to her! This could be a very good thing. "Well I'm glad we meet too! And I'm glad your not one of those super crazy fans" I said laughing.

The two of us talked for about an hour and then the girl that walked out of her apartment walked in. I had to hold myself back from thanking her about before.

"Hey Em," she said as she tossed her bag on the table and took her coat off. She didn't notice me sitting there until she walked in more. "Oh hey" she said, obviously wondering who I was and why I was in her apartment.

"Hey, I'm Dan," I said as i awkwardly raised my hand into a slight wave.

"Oh Dan! From Youtube right?"

"Yup that's me" I said still feeling a bit awkward. "Well Emma, I should get going. Thanks so much for the coffee." I said as I started to stand up.

"Alright let me take you to the door," she said. We walked to the door together and she opened it. "It was really nice of you to stop over, I had a great time she said smiling, and if I was seeing correctly blushing a bit too.

"I had a great time too," I said with a big smile. Even though I wasn't sure it was a good idea, I decided to make a slight move on her. I gently grabbed her hand. "I hope we can do this again," I said as a squeezed her hand a bit and then let go. She was definitely blushing now. Good move Dan. 

"I hope so too," she said smiling at the ground. "Well bye" she said squeezing my hand back.

I walked out of the apartment, smiling and so glad that I ended up following my creepy plan.
