ASHLEY'S POV
Tomorrow is Scarlett and Corey's wedding, not looking forward to it honestly, for many fucking reasons. I just wanted to stay home and not give a shit. If you're wondering about my foul mood, it's because of them getting married. He loves her but I can see it in his eyes that it's also a lie. I love them both but Corey is my best friend and we've become very much distant. I do take care of Griffin on the weekends for them but it just upsets me that all Corey says is, "Hey." or "Here's Griffin and his stuff, bye." or nothing at all sometimes. I told Scarlett that I was leaving and in that I'd have Elijah come pick them up when they're ready, she said okay and I left. Upon arriving on our little dirt road, I picked up Griffin and told Elijah that the girls needed to be picked up, he agreed. A few moments later, I was driving down my driveway noticing a car. Corey's car. FUCK! What now? I thought. I parked the car and took griffin out of the car. I noticed Corey sitting on the porch swing. I sighed and he looked up.
"Why aren't you out at your bachelor party?" I asked unlocking the front door.
"Because, I think I messed up." he said walking in behind me.
"What do you mean?" I asked laying Griffin in his crib.
"I gave Scarlett a free-pass to fuck anybody." he said making me choke.
"Are you serious?" I asked.
"Serious. Change of subject because I doubt it'd happen." he said sounding sure.
"I guess, anyways, let's leave Griffin to sleep." I said as he walked out, I closed the door and started walking passed him when he grabbed my wrist.
"I want to apologize for being distant." he spoke softly. "With becoming a father and getting married, it takes time away from being with friend." he said walking up to me and hugging me.
"It's okay Corey. You're still my best friend." I spoke into his neck.
"Say you'll haunt me." he whispered into my ear then kissing my cheek and walking out the front door.

I woke up to the sun shining into my eyes, l found Scarlett asleep next to me, half naked. I looked at the clock 11:30 a.m. fuck. I shook Scar and told her that in four hours it'll be our wedding. I don't think I've ever seen her scatter that fast in my life. I chuckled. She grabbed some pants, a shirt, the keys and took off without shoes. That definitely made me laugh.

The wedding went okay but I seriously hated wearing this , I honestly wasn't much of a dress wearer. But, I promised Scarlett who does look beautiful tonight in her wedding. I noticed a guy standing afar who kept his eyes on me. He was cute, really cute. I haven't dated anyone since and yet, I'm still a virgin as well. The guy walked over and asked me to dance. I said yes. We walked to the dance floor and began dancing to a slow song. I decided we should go somewhere else and hang out. So, we did. I noticed Corey just mean mugging' the hell out of us two. Fuck off.
We arrived at a park, and sat on the swings just talking. His name is Keenan Ray, he's the same age as me, no kids, never married, he works as an accountant here in Des Moines, which is cool. A whole bunch more stuff that is interesting, he makes me laugh. I missed laughing. I noticed straight ahead without giving sign to Keenan that Corey was standing there or it was a figment of my imagination. Oh well.
