Chapter 4

I sat on my bed and stared at the photo of my mom and Gerard as little kids, they looked cute and I was confused with everything. How dose my mom know Gerard? Why does she not like him? I just sat their, trying to come up with some reasonable answers but nothing really can to me. Minutes later I heard the front door open.

"Abigail I'm home!" My mom shouted.

I hid the picture in my pocket and walked into the kitchen.

"How was your day?" I asked, not really caring.

"Like usual." She responded with a little attitude.

I rolled my eyes and poured me a glass of tea. "Hey mom, can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"I'm I related to Gerard Way?" I asked.

My mom froze when she heard the question. "Wh-what ever made you think that?" She said.

"Oh well, Noel says I'm just like Gerard and plus I found a picture of you two as little kids." I said, showing her the photo.

"Where the fuck did you get that?" My mom asked, having a look of pure hatred in her eyes.

"I found it." I replied "Is it true that I'm related to him?"

My mom sighed. "I was hoping you wouldn't find out, I guess I wasn't hoping hard enough."

"Ha! I knew it! I am related to Gerard Way! I knew it, I knew it, I KNEW IT!" I squealed, jumping up and down. "So is he my cousin, uncle?"

"Your father."

I stopped bouncing and my smile immediately left my face. I was frozen. "What? My dad is....who?"
