This one is meant for 05/18/16.
So here is what I will do:
I will post a poem I have written and tell you about yesterday and today in the next one after school is done.
Poem: "My Glorious Temple"
05/19/16
A temple of gold,
Shrouded in a glistening yellow,
It shines and gleams in the Sun's light,
And it lures in all with its invite,
Turning back or proceeding,
Trekking forward or receding,
Behind enemy lines,
Behind enemy lines,
Gather forth the village courage,
Gallant warriors to the attack,
Defend the golden palace,
My numbered days are alas!
Rounded by the Whites,
Culled by large, loud sticks,
Protect our God's home,
If nothing else his dying tomb,
Not to the greed of pigs,
Never to the foolishness of man,
Our people are numbered and lost,
Guard the temple at any cost,
The battle pursues with a flash and bang,
My people flee of those are cowards,
Attack the enemy, we cry out-
For faith, for God, for glory!
Attempts are feeble and ineffective,
Killed by the dozens and slaughtered,
Hear me, O spirit, hear,
I have died for you with no fear,
Take me to your kingdom,
Protect you when I am alive,
Protect you when dead,
I would gladly give my heart, my soul, and my head
O spirit, do you not know,
I am but a slave,
For you I will go,
To the depths of fire,
To the reaches of the clouds,
I will go ever higher,
I will remember the shroud,
The golden temple of my memories,
Forever there and never lost,
Your temple and mine,
Shall be forever in its time.
