05/19/16

I posted one entry earlier, but that was meant for the previous day.

Here's my day for you guys who probably aren't reading...

Yesterday was another marching band day, where the whole band was learning that when band director, Mr. Kline, yells (he prefers the term 'projects')

BAND! READY? ONE!

we shout back to him

~ONE!~
and we lift our left leg up with our thigh parallel to the ground and our knees at a 90° angle with our toe pointed down.

Then Mr. Kline yells

TWO!

and we respond back with
~TWO!~
and drop our foot down quickly to its original place. Heels together, toes out at a 45° angle, and standing perfectly still.

But when Mr. Kline yells

BAND! ATTENTION!

we respond with
~ONE! TWO! ~
where one, is the up position and two, is the down, position.

Only it's not a fluid motion, we look like a robot army...

~ONE! TWO!~

NEXT DAY (OOPS. Caps lock)

Today, however, Mr. Kline was out and we had a substitute teacher so it was a 'study hall period'.

We just got to sit with our friends in the band hall and talk while the sub. teacher was on his phone or computer (not sure which one)

You remember Gino?

Well his friend, blonde haired dude, isn't his name. It's Noah!

I didn't even know that!

Any who... he saw me drawing a saxophone because I had nothing better to do (couldn't play our instruments) and he asked if I could draw a clarinet.

I think he was keeping me busy so I wouldn't be as bored because he was mindlessly suggesting things without much enthusiasm.

My saxophone was *mwah* perfecto!

And the clarinet... I guess it was okay. He said it looked like it so, maybe I did well.

Then my friend Morgan asked me to draw a flute...

And I failed miserably! She sort of got upset at me for drawing it the way I did.

I would be upset too, if some random person drew an 'S' shape with an over exaggerated bell and just put buttons wherever and the wrong amount of them.

That's probably why she got mad.

But, to be fair, I only held her flute once. And that was when we switched instruments to play each other's. I didn't really pay attention to the buttons.

Well that's all that is important so...
