"Another day in "Bright" Town...."

* The next morning *
My mum had woken me up to tell me that she was leaving to enrol me for school so I was home alone. Since there was nothing to do, I went downstairs to make some cereal. I say down on the worn out couch. "We seriously need to buy better furniture for this place." After eating my cereal , I put my bowl in the sink and started to explore since I was probably gonna be here a while, not that there was much to explore. I started walking around my living room thinking that there is nothing to explore, but just as I was gonna give up, I tripped over the shaggy carpet and as I fell, the carpet moved from it's original place and I saw 3 claw marks carved on the floor. They weren't just little marks, it was so deep that it cut through the floor board and I stared at it in horror. Questions raced through my mind.
What caused this?
Who was here before us?
And the most important question that was lingering in my brain...
Is whatever caused this still lurking?
