" This was the day I knew there was no turning back."
After a long, excruciating 3 hour ride, we finally arrived. Our "new town", Bright Town. And let me just say, it was anything but bright. As the truck drove into town, we passed the old, crumbly " Welcome to Bright Town" sign and drove on. I turned up the volume on my mp3 and decided to listen to some music to distract myself from the " lovely " scenery. It was approximately 5 in the afternoon so the sun was still some-what shining on the dark town. We took a shortcut that allowed us to see the forest without actually having to go in it, which thankfully didnt happen. As my favourite song started playing, I felt the truck stopping and looked outside the window and saw the house I am going to be living in for a long time, and let me just say, I was NOT impressed. It was old and almost crumbling to bits. The wood looked like if you took one step inside, the whole house would fall apart. My mum was paying Paul, the truck driver and he helped us put the boxes inside the house. He wished us luck and drove off in the direction in which we came. My mum and I stood outside the house and tried to identify what we were looking at. It looked more like a haunted house then a home. " I bet if we repaint it and do some renovations, it will look good." My mum said trying to sound cheery even though I could as the regret in her eyes. The house was painted in different shades of black and grey that it have it kind of a gothic feel. It was big. And I mean, REALLY big. It almost looked like a mansion. A gothic mansion. " great." I mutter to myself as I stood on the pavement. I know people say its what's on the inside that counts, but the inside wasn't all that good either. The wall's were practically falling to pieces , the beige, hideous paint that was used to cover the decaying wall was one of the many things I disliked. I'm not gonna tell you all the thing's that was wrong about the house otherwise, Im gonna be here a while. I decided to ignore it and took my stuff up to my room and started to mentally imagine where I'm going to put my stuff. I soon got to work at hanging posters, calendars, etc. When I was done, I called Frankie and told her about the house. Mum said that she is gonna enroll me for school tomorrow then I will start school the next day, so I had some time before I enter hell. Frankie and I spoke for hours until it was time for dinner so I had to hang up the phone and say with my mum and then she told me something that changed my whole perspective on Bright Town: "I'm gonna order a pizza, what do you want on it?" I was so shocked that Bright Town had a pizza parlour that I didn't answer until my mum had to physically shake me to get my reply which was obviously " PEPPERONI!"
