Chapter 8: Alphys

Frisk sighs and gets up and walks away from the statue. They went over to the piano room and they played the notes that the statue had played. A door opens up and they walk in. 

In the room, there was an ancient artifact. Frisk tried to take it. They thought that maybe they can pawn it for some gold. But they couldn't take it because... There were too many dogs in their inventory...? Frisk looked in their inventory and there was that small Amalgamate Dog. They inspected the dog.

*"Amalgamate Dog" - Dog.

*A small white dog.

*It's fast asleep...

Frisk deployed the dog so they could get the artifact but the dog absorbed the artifact and left. Frisk tried to chase it but they couldn't catch up. Frisk gave up on chasing the dog and they just walk to the umbrella room. They pick up a umbrella and they begin walking through a room where the rain was pouring. They walk through the rain with their umbrella and they eventually put down their umbrella when they walk out the rain. 

They continue their path before looking to the right and they get the most beautiful view of the castle in the distance. They stop and stare at the beautiful sight for only a few seconds v=before continuing. They knew they couldn't stop because they had a big journey ahead of them. Though the sight of the castle filled them with determination.

They continued down the path and they climbed that steep ledge by themselves since the author forgot to include Monster Kid. ((I also forgot Alphys. Yes. I realized that.))

They continued to make their way to another bridge area. As they make their way across the bridge, A flame pillar shoots up from the ground right in front of them. They back away quickly, trying not to get burned. On the bridge below them, they see the armored figure from earlier who was shooting fire balls at them.

Frisk ran frantically, trying not to get burned by the flame pillars that shot up from the ground at such speed. They ran into a dead end and they panicked. They looked behind them and they found the armored figure behind them, holding what appears to be a staff. 

All of a sudden, a flame shoots from below the ground and Frisk can only see the flames that burn with intensity. The bridge shook beneath Frisk and then the bridge fell, sending Frisk plummeting down into whatever was down their. Frisk fell into the patch of Buttercups and everything went black...

An unknown voice starts speaking in their dream.

"It sounds like it came from over here... oh... you've fallen down... haven't you... are you okay..? Here... Get up... or not...... Metta, huh? That's a nice name... My name is-"

The voice was cut off as Frisk woke up suddenly and gasped for air. Everywhere hurt. They got up, despite the pain. They quickly brushed themselves off and they look at the many splinters they have from that wooden bridge falling.

Frisk wondered how they survived falling down a mountain, getting attacked by a skeleton, getting stars rained upon them by a rainbow scarf-wearing goat, getting fire shot at them, and falling down with a bridge.

They sighed heavily and they limp through what looks like a garbage dump. They trudge through the murky water of this trash area. They look it the various items that are down their and before leaving, the dummy appears in front of them and they start fighting.

The fight was pretty long. Frisk tried sparing it multiple times but it wouldn't work. They used it's own magic attacks on the dummy until the dummy gets rained on by acid tears. Alphys, who is wearing a white sheet on top of her to give her the appearance of a ghost, walks in and frowns.

"... S-Sorry, I interrupted y-you, didn't I..? As s-soon as I came o-over, y-your friend i-immediately left... O-oh no... Y-you guys looked like y-you were having a lot of f-fun... I-I just wanted to s-say hi... oh no................................"

Frisk exits battle mode and looks at Alphys in front of them as she speaks with the same sad, depressed tone.

"Well... I'm going home n-now... o-oh um... Feel free to 'come with' if you want.... But no pressure.... I-I understand if y-your busy... I-It's fine... N-No worries... Just thought I'd o-offer..."

Alphys walks away and Frisk follows. They see Alphys, who turns around to face them.

"Hey... M-My home is up here... In case y-you want to see... or i-in case... you don't..."

Alphys walks away in the direction of her house. Frisk feels a calming tranquility and they are filled with determination.

Frisk walks to Alphys' house. Alphys turns around and looks at them.

"Oh... Y-you really came... Sorry, I... W-Wasn't expecting that... I-It isn't much, b-but make yourself at home..."

Frisk looked around the place. Alphys was right; It wasn't much But at least it's calm and peaceful. Frisk looks at the T.V and sees a stack of anime by it. 

"Oh... That's the a-anime I watch... Maybe we can watch s-some together in the future... Or not... No pressure...", Alphys says.

Frisk walks to the fridge. 

"Oh... Are y-you hungry..? I-I can get you something t-to eat..."

Frisk moves out the way for Alphys to pull something out the fridge. Alphys faces Frisk and hands them packaged instant noodles, but it looks transparent.

"This is a p-package of ghost noodles... Do you w-wanna try some..?"

Frisk nods and unwraps the packaging and tries to bite down on the dry noodles. They phase through it though... Alphys looks away.

"Oh.... Nevermind... After a meal, I like to lie on the fl-floor and feel like anime t-trash... I-It's a family tradition... D-Do you want to j-join me...?"

Frisk holds back a snicker before nodding.

"Okay... Follow me..."

Alphys leads Frisk into the center of the house and they lie on the ground. They lie there for about five minutes until they see what looks like space. Or maybe the time-space continuum. Frisk finally gets up and so does Alphys.

"Well... Th-That was nice... Th-Thank you..."

Frisk nods and waves good bye. Alphys does the same and Frisk continues on their way out of the WaterFalls.

~I'm finally finished with this. I didn't have time to finish it yesterday so I did it today. I will try to update this later today but I highly doubt I will be able. Btw I will not read this over to see if there are any errors so there may be mistakes and I apologize for that. Anyways see ya in the next chapter!~
