Before I begin, allow me to first introduce myself. One of the biggest parts to giving advice is having a credible background. If I were reading this book, I would want to know why I should be believing what the author has to say, which is why I'm adding this chapter.
My name is Cheyenne Barnett and I am 19 years young. I live in a very small town in central Kentucky and I am proud to be a country girl. (Before you ask, I really am from Kentucky and I've lived here all my life. So, no, not everybody sounds like a country redneck.) I am currently a full-time college student studying to be a maternity nurse practitioner. Not only am I a student but I am also a part-time nanny for a family with two children.
Now, here is the part that most of you don't know about me. I am a published author with four romance novels available for purchase at several eBook stores. I don't mention it a lot because I don't want to be treated any differently than anyone else here on Wattpad. All four of them were written before I turned 18 and were published within the last year. I also have a new novel set to be released in August of this year.
The whole point of telling you this, is that I'm not an amateur writer, at least not in the romance department. Apart from telling my own original stories, I've been writing WWE fan fiction for over eight years. Before I was on Wattpad, I was writing on another website which I believe has since been shut down. I've written stories about John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, Matt and Jeff Hardy, and now, Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose.
Altogether, I've written just over seventy stories about the WWE. Writing fan fiction is what got me to write my original work and I will forever have a special place for it in my heart.
I sincerely hope this inspires some of you to write original works in the future because believe it or not, I would have never dreamed I would be an up and coming eBook author. Nor did I believe I could have ever come up with an entire original story on my own but fan fiction helps you in a lot of ways.
So, now on to the parts you've been waiting for. In this book, I hope to help you evolve your fan fiction. I've received numerous messages about tips I have for other authors and hopefully, this book will answer those questions. For starters, I plan to touch on generating summary ideas, character development, and first chapter do's and don'ts. This is just a starting list, so if any of you have other things you'd like covered, please add it below in the comments and I'll be sure to add it to my list.
Also, I would like to have some of you ask random questions about writing. Every few chapters or so, I'd like to add a section just for new questions that my audience has. It can be anything you'd like, I promise no question is a dumb question. If you really want to know, ask! I promise I'm not a cruel person. I will do my very best to help you in any way that I can.
Ask away!
