I was falling fast. A blinding vortex of light trailing behind me. I knew what I did was bad but the wind felt like it was slashing away at my now tattered and ripped wings, but I know the wind was not doing this. The vortex of light was the council's pure power. I knew I was approaching the ground. I felt the vortex finally envelope me. Then my wings shattered, disintegrated in a way that they turned to ashes. Then I hit the ground hard and the darkness blinded me.
It's been a week since I was banished from heaven. I have not a thing. Just the clothes I had on before I became a fallen one. I mostly stay in what they call a shelter for people without a home. I used to have everything I've always dreamed of in heaven. Until my brother had to go fall in love with a human. He destroyed my life and got me banished for the crimes that he committed. I just had to stand up for him. It was a mistake that I was blamed for. I was the one who showed him the woman. The woman's name was Angelica. She loved to read and always wore the necklace her dad gave her before he went back to war he was fighting in. He was killed the next day when there base was attacked and destroyed. My brother, Truce, felt sorry and spoke to her from above. That was illegal in heaven. I should have stopped him but instead I provoked him.
As I walked along the sidewalk I saw an old lady with torn scarfs and a sweatshirt with holes all over. I couldn't help looking at her baggy pants that were soaked, probably from when it rained a couple of hours ago. She was walking with a shopping cart with a bunch of items and objects she found or had. I then noticed the school about a block away with the waving flag on the pole with its vibrant colors in the middle of a lovely garden with roses as red as blood with thorns emanating from its stalk. The gardens walkways were made with cobblestone, my favorite thing the humans have ever created, for some odd reason. I approach the school step by step, just waiting to walk in when I was almost hit by a car.
"Hey, watch it!" I heard the man yell out the window waving his hand in a fist in the air.
"Sorry" I say. My voice came out cold and broken like it was not my own. I climb the four or five steps to the entrance and open the big glass, clear doors and looked for what they called an office. I wandered around looking but found nothing. I saw kids my own age. Well really not even close to my real age if we were talking about my age in angel years. I am one-thousand eight hundred years old in angel years which means I am eighteen in human years. I kept looking, thinking I might run into the person who runs the place. I already know more than
what an eighteen year old would know. I could probably be able to get the best job on earth. I know everything. Literally everything you could possibly know I know more of. I am an angel and angels know more then humans could ever know. When humans die they do not become angels. Instead they become spirits. Just like when they are human its just they cannot be killed again. We angels guide the human souls until they can move past heaven. Into a whole other dimension called the Phoenix Seal where they can create there own world up to there certain expectations. They could even live there wildest fantasy's of doing anything. It's all up to them. Then I slam into someone and fall flat on my back. I sit up and look at who slammed into me. It was a girl with long black waving hair. She was a little pale and wore red lipstick. Then I saw it. I could not believe my eyes. I could not believe I did not notice her before. She was wearing a gold chain with a golden locket. The same one with the picture of her father and her in it. Angelica. My purpose for being here. The person who destroyed my life. I stared at her and at the same time she stared back. We sat there for what felt like hours. Then I broke her gaze and got up. She was still on the floor when I decided to help her up.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so clumsy. It just had to be today when I find out that I moving to a whole different place that I slam into someone. Why does it have to be me?" She says. The thing that caught my attention was the fact she was moving. Where is she moving to? Why didn't my brother tell me?
"So where are you moving to?" I ask her, looking at the ground while she answers with,
"Australia. I know moving there is a big step and all but my mom considered it and thought about it and agreed. So we are starting all over there."
"Thats cool I guess" I say as I then realize the reason I was in the school. "Hey, do you where the office is?
"Yeah, it's down that hall, take a right and then keep going until you reach a pair of double doors, then look to your left and thats the office." Then it struck me that the doors is the entrance I came through. I must have just went the wrong direction. So I headed back to the entrance and found a bright yellow room with blue doors. I asked myself, whats up with this school and color? I walked in and saw a woman in her mid forty's with long blond hair with a little bit of red streaks sprawled through-out her hair. She eyed me with her bright blue eyes and then stood up and walked to the next door and went inside. It was another office but had big bold letters on it that said "Principles Office" in the very middle of the glass window. I waited and looked around while the woman said,
"I believe someone is here to see you." she said. She walked back to her desk and sat down and continued whatever she was doing on her laptop. The principle was very skinny, tall, and had big emerald colored eyes. He was holding a folder when he approached me. I stood up.
"Are you the lucky contestant?" He said.
"Yes I am. I came to see if I could register for this school." I say.
"Okay come right this way please. I'm Mr. Jackville." He said as I follow him into his
office. The color of the walls was a bright golden with a small amount of red polka-dots all over. I looked for a seat, but all I found was a very ugly stool."Sit down, please." He said with a big smile. I stared at him. Just because I was banned from heaven does not mean I lost all my neat powers. I read his mind. It looked like it went on forever. Not just his mind, but everyone's mind that I've read before looks exactly like this. It's all black, with doors in two separate lines. When you open one, you see that certain memory that the door holds. They also have there own colors, if one is white, then he will not really think of this one as often. If it is green then it will pop up once in awhile, however a red one will be implanted in his or her memory forever. I can also go into his mind and implant one if I wanted to. In this case I have to, so I think of a green door, not red because I do not want him to remember it forever of course. I quickly get out and leave the door in his mind. He was standing holding out his hand. I rose and shook it. "Congratulations on registering for this school." He pulled me a little closer and stopped shaking my hand. "Welcome to Aragon High school!"
