I didn't see Marli for another two days.I tiedied her place the day I got back and waited for her to come home. I left at eleven after I realised she's probably with her family spreading the news.

The next day I went back to check and to feed Milky.Her dads car was parked in driveway and he was ringing the bell.
''Hey Liam how you doing?' He says as I unlock the door.
'I'm good thanks.Marlis  not here you know. '
'I know she told me to take Milky for a walk and to water the plants.'

I turn round and look at him sharply.
'You know where she is?'

'Of course I know where she is....wait you don't know?'

'I haven't seen or heard from her since the day I left Australia.'

There was an awkward silence as he processed it in his mind.

'I don't want to cause any drama so just wait. She's coming back tomorrow. ' He said as he hooked Milky to the lead and shut the door behind him.
