~chapter 1

*one year later*

"Wow! Our own apartment! And it's in New York City!" I yell at Daisy while we ran into the big open space.

"Oh god, we actually went threw with our plan since 7th grade." Daisy said happily.

"I know, but it still doesn't have the built in basketball court and ballet studio." I told her, remembering back to our plan.

"But there down stairs. So we're fine." Daisy yelled from her room.

"Speaking of down stairs, I need to go at practice for next weeks game." I yelled from my room.

"Same, I need to practice for my concert." She said walking into my room with some tights and what ever dancers wear for practice.

"Ok. We'll go together." I smiled putting on my shoes and grabbing a basketball.

Now I know what you're thinking, "I thought you were going to USC? what are you doing in New York?"

Well buddies, my dad got a new job at Staten Island, NY. So I couldn't go to USC. Now I'm going to the University of New York and sharing an apartment with Daisy.

"Hey, the studios right here. I'll see you later." Daisy interrupted my thoughts.

"Oh yeah, bye." I smiled as she stepped out of the elevator.

'9th floor' red on the screen, I walked out and down the very very long hallway to get to the gym.

Aaron and I actually became really good friends, and eventually boyfriend and girlfriend. He made me happy, then I had to move. Sad, I know.

Next month would have been our fifth month anniversary, but we thought it wouldn't be health for a long distance relationship, so we broke things off. We started dating on April fools day.

The few months before April were really hard for me. I really don't like talking about it, it's really bad.

"Lydia?" I heard an Irish accent, right before I made it threw the gym doors.

"Niall?" I asked once I turned around.

"Yeah, how are you doing?" He smiled.

"Good. You?" I asked.

"Good, what are you doing in New York?" He asked.

"I could ask you the same thing." I chuckled.

"We have a concert tonight." He smiled.

"Oh, sorry. I really haven't been following 'One Direction'." I admitted.

"You didn't answer my question." He smirked.

"My dad got a new job so we all moved out here, now I'm going to University of New York." I told him.

"Oh, I see you're still playing basketball." He said pointing to my basketball.

"Yeah, I am." I chuckled.

"Are you here with Daisy?" He asked me.

"Yeah, she's at the studio." I said walking into the gym, Niall following.

"So she's still dancing."

"Yeah, she got accepted into Juilliard for drama and dance." I told him while doing my stretches.

"Does Daisy know that Harry is here?" Niall asked me.

"Yeah, she hasn't shut up about it the whole week. I can't believe that they have been toge-" I stopped myself, thinking of Niall and I when we were together.

"Will you excuse me?" I asked and just walked off to the restroom, tears threatening to spill.

*Daisy's POV*

I was looking for my Chapstick in my bag when I noticed that I hadn't given Lydia back her speakers, she likes to use them for practice to listen to her 'jam'.

I took them out, put my bag in the corner, and walked out to the elevator.

"Hey Lydia, I forgot to g- Niall?" I asked once I walked into the gym.

"Daisy! Lydia has been in the bathroom for a while now." He said pointing to a door.

"Maybe her stomach hurts?"

"No it's not that, I can hear her crying." Right after he said that, I feared the worst.

Right after Niall broke up with her, she let herself go crazy. And I've walked in on her hugging her pillow pet, bawling her eyes out, countless times.

And the worst part about it, she got so bad that she locked herself in her room and threatened to kill herself. Aaron had to kick open her door and he made her promise to never do anything like that again.

"Lydia, it's Daisy." I knocked on the door.

No reply.

"Lydia!" I knocked even louder.

"Lydia! Open this door right now!" I yelled and tried opening the door, locked.

"Lydia! OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!" I yelled, kicking the door.

Still, no reply.

"Niall! Try opening the door!" I cried.

He kicked it over and over, again and again. After 5 minutes of trying, he was finally able to bust it open. No Lydia, but an open door on the other side of the bathroom.

"I think I know where she's at." I said and ran off to the elevator, Niall followed.

"I don't think you should come with me." I told him once we got to my floor.

"No, I'm going with you." He said sternly.

"No Niall. You are not! It's because of you that she's like this!" I yelled at him.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"It's none of your business."

"But I love her." He whispered.

"What?"
