An hour had gone by since Erin arrived at Tony and Steve's tower and she was loving every minute of it!

Erin had so much space to explore and run around in but the two men who lived here kept their distance... The toddler couldn't understand why they didn't want to play with her?

She would look over at them and sigh softly feeling sad that they didn't want to play with her...

"She looks sad," Tony mumbled from the door way as he and Steve watched the Toddler explore.

Steve sighed. "If you really want to play with her then play with her," He told Tony. "It's not a crime to get to know-"

As quick as a flash Tony skidded into the living room and picked Erin up, he span her around making her squeal in excitement. Tony was never really a child- friendly type of person but there was something about Erin that he liked...

Steve chuckled as he slowly made his way into the living room, he sat on the couch as Tony and Erin sat on the floor.

"I'm Tony," Tony told Erin. "Say Tony!"

Erin just smiled and giggled softly, now happy that the guys were showing her a little attention.

"She's only two," Steve pointed out.

Tony frowned. "So, you should have seen me when I was two!" He told him then smiled at some memories.

"I can imagine," Steve mumbled, imagining a two year old Tony taking things apart and blowing things up.

Tony smiled at the little toddler; The things he could show her, the things he could teach her... She would be so intelligent and adorable!

Just then Erin saw a light through Tony's shirt buttons, she hadn't noticed it earlier. The light blue glow made her eyes go wide with wonder, she reached out her little hand and pointed to the light.

Tony followed her hand then smiled softly. "That's my arc reactor," He told her and undid the buttons of his shirt.

Steve moved so he was sat next to Tony. "That's his heart," Steve told her.

Erin looked at Tony's arc reactor, she put her little hand on the light and smiled, she then put her head on Tony's chest expecting it to beat... But it didn't. Erin frowned then moved to Steve which took him a little bit by surprise but he let her sit on his lap and put her head on his chest. Steve's chest had a beat but Tony's didn't.

"Interesting," Tony mumble.

Steve frowned. "What is?" He asked as he ran his finger through Erin's damp hair.

"She understands that hearts beat," Tony explained. "Lets be realistic how many two year olds understand that?"

Steve couldn't help but smile at Tony; The way his brown eyes were wide with happiness.

"Looks like we have a tired Dirt Monkey," Tony stated as he rubbed Erin's back.

Erin yawned softly and rubbed her eyes, she pulled her arms into her chest and brought her knees up so she was curled up on Steve's lap, she sighed softly as she shut her eyes.

"Where shall we put her for the night?" Steve asked trying not to move to much.

Tony hummed. "I guess she can have the room on our floor, that small one?" He suggested.

Steve nodded and carefully stood up with Erin in his arms. "She's so tiny, I'm scared I'll crush her," He mumbled and he looked at her sleepy eyes.

Tony smiled up at Steve admiring how loving and caring he was to everyone. The two went into the lift and up to the top floor. Steve carried Erin down the long corridor to the spare room, Tony opened the door and JARVIS put the lights on dim; Erin was fast asleep when Steve and Tony tucked her in the large bed, they made a small pillow fort around her so she wouldn't fall out the bed.

Tony and Steve stood in the door way. "You did a good thing today," Steve stated quietly as he put his arm over Tony's shoulders.

Tony leaned against Steve. "She needed someone, she still needs someone," Tony told him softly feeling a little heart broken for the toddler.

"We'll get someone to come and get her in the morning," Steve reassured him. "They can take her to a care home and find her a good family."

Tony sighed and slowly nodded... By noon the next day little dirt monkey would be gone.
