A New Beginning

(3rd Person POV)

"Ash Ketchum, get your ass down those stairs right now. We are leaving in 5 minutes and I need you in that truck before we leave!" A distant scream from an angry mum come from the bottom of a flight of stairs. A sleepy, scruffy raven haired boy hastily leapt out of bed, stretching the stiffness out of his muscles.

"Coming mum. Give me a bit of time to wake up and get ready then I will be downstairs."
His name is Ash, if you didn't know already. He looks at his old room for the finally time. He is moving to the Kalos region as his mother, Delia, got a new job as an accountant over there. His new home town is called Vaniville Town. He had a couple of old friends from Pallet Town who had both already moved to Kalos. One was Gary, whose grandad is Professor Oak, a great Pokemon researcher. However, he had moved to Kalos to become a teacher at Ash's new school, Aquacorde Secondary. That was why Gary moved. His other friend was Serena, who moved when they were all 7. Now being 11, their new school was going to be a place where the next 5 years of their lives would be decided.

"Ash, come on." His twin sister Leaf called from outside his door. She had the same dark coffee coloured eyes as Ash but had chocolate coloured hair. She and Ash, along with their other twin Yellow, made up the Ketchum triplets. They were the most known about in the town, being friends with almost everyone. Yellow had blonde hair but the same eyes that ran through her brother and sister. "Yellow has Pikachu already downstairs in the truck, so us two are just a little slacking."

"Ok. Leaf, can you take my bags down and I'll bring yours down for you." Ash smiled as he came out for a quick minute to use the toilet. Leaf happily obliged and soon enough, they were both down outside their front door.

"We've all had some memorable times here," Delia started to make a little speech as the triplets started to form a group hug with her. "But when we reach Kalos, we will have a new fresh start to begin with. As a family, we will strive towards new things together as one. We won't forget about Kanto and the friends we've made here, but also we will make new ones and maybe some enemies but as one, we will protect each other and become stronger together." And with that, our heroes set off towards Kalos and a new chapter in their lives.

(Time Skip 1 day)

After settling in into their new home, a comfy 3 bedroom house with a room for Ash, one for the girls and the final one for Delia, the triplets, with Pikachu on Ash's shoulder, set off to explore their new town. They headed towards the town square and its' surrounding shops.

"So guys, what are you looking most forward to here?" Yellow quietly asked, while fiddling with her jumper. Ash moved closer to his sister, ready to whisper something to her, but loud enough for Leaf to hear.

"Well, we know that Leaf will want to finally get together with Gary finally!" Ash commented and started to laugh along with Yellow, which was brought to an abrupt stoppage by Leaf slightly slapping him across the face.

"Hey, what was that for?" He comically joked, knowing the actual reason, that Leaf had it for Gary.

"It's not like that!" Leaf screamed while blushing lightly. "Anyway, we also know you kinda had for Serena, Ash." She slyly smiled, causing the effect to reverse. Yellow was crying from laughter, not wanting to stop the small squabble.

"That's not true! She was my best friend, nothing else!" Ash stubbornly answered back. Pikachu sniggered away, having moved to Yellow's arms. Pikachu, being the family pet, was the most mischievous one, along with Yellow, who was the human version of him.

"Hey, what's going on here then?" A familiar voice was heard by the three and the electric mouse.

"Gary!?" The group turned around to see their old friend. He had grown a little since they last saw him, finally being a little shorter than Leaf, which gave Ash and Yellow the perfect opportunity to troll Leaf. However, they decided to be nice.

"Hi guys. How've you been?" He was swamped into a massive group hug suddenly before going finally returning it. He felt comfortable with pretty much his second family, after his own.

"How's Daisy?" Leaf asked with a smile. Daisy is Gary's older sister and their other sister pretty much. Their families were really close as they were neighbours.

"She's good. We might as well catch up." The three agreed while Pikachu got excited to see his old pal Umbreon, who was Gary's Pokemon.

So as our heroes set off, what is their first day is going to be like for them and Gary? Will they make new friends? Find out in the next chapter!!!

BTW: I'm adding more characters so there will be more ships to be found. Hope you like the idea of Ash, Leaf and Yellow being triplets and tell me if you have any ideas for me to use by PMing me or commenting. This has be rewritten so it doesn't fully follow the rest of the story. I will rewrite the next chapter tomorrow so bye!!!
