Right, I'm back. I've had stuff to do for school, and I've watched the first three seasons of the Big Bang Theory on Netflix this last week, so that why I haven't done any new chapters. Also having a lack of ideas doesn't help either. Anyway, I'm here with a chapter, so hopefully you enjoy. And we're almost at 2k reads!!
The sun peeked through the girls' bedroom window as the low autumn sun rose over the Kalosian horizon. Leaf slumped over her laptop, having been messaging all night with Eoin for the Eeveelutions homework, and with May for some private girl talk about random stuff. She fell asleep as she spoke with her cousin, and hadn't battered an eye since. Her sister was gently stirring, as the coldness nibbled at her toes, that were ever so slightly out from underneath her duvet.
Their week off had gone well so far, having done some stuff with friends, and some things with just them and their mum. Their birthday was a couple of weeks away, so the excitement inside the household was slowly rising. Soon enough, Yellow had fully arose from her slumber, and sat up in her bed. She picked her phone up off the side of the table by her bed and looked at the screen in front of her. The clock read 6:45, too early in her mind, but fine for this time of year, as she got a great look at the weather.
"Typical Leaf." She sighed as she saw her sister laid on top of her laptop's keyboard, arms spread out wildly, and drooling a tiny amount. It was true, as her sister was the one that was always up late, while her brother was the early bird. She, meanwhile, was a normal person when it came to sleep. Not too late at night, and not too early in the morning. Her arms ached as she stretched and stood up for the first time.
That's when she saw the note on the fluffy carpet of her room. She ambled over to the fresh oak frame of the barrier of the door, bent down and picked the lined paper page, from a notepad, off the lilac coloured flooring. Her eyes focused on the sheet in her hands, as she began reading.
Yellow honey, I trust you with looking after the others while I'm at work. I've had to go in early as someone called in sick. I don't know when I'll be home, so can you help these two lazies out.
Thanks, and love you.
Mum"Ok then, let's go get a coffee and get cooking." She told herself in her head as she trod off to the bathroom to shower. She closed the door silently, so Leaf had the optimal conditions for her sleep. She opened up the boiler door, grabbed some towels, and headed into the bathroom. As she passed Ash's room, she heard shouting and swearing coming through the door.
"What's the fucking logic game! I had first shot and yet I still die. I was 10 points off streaks as well." Was the colourful and bitter language her brother showed towards his console as he played his game.
"Ash, keep the noise down. Leaf is still asleep." Yellow said as she pushed the wood inwards so she was heard clearly. "And stop swearing. Just deal with it."
"Of course you don't get it. Girls never get Xbox and gaming. Streaks win you games and help the team. I would've popped off as well." Ash whined in reply as his focus switched back to the game. The door closed as Yellow left and walked down the hallway.
Having finished her shower, and got changed, Yellow arrived in the kitchen and turned the kettle on, to make a cup of tea. She let out her Espeon and wandered over to the cupboard and fridge to get the milk and teabag.
"Espeon, can you get me a mug out of the cupboard please." Espeon used his psychic powers to open the door and retrieved the requested item out of the cupboard and placed it on the kitchen top, waiting for his owner's gratitude. A ear scratch was enough and he sat up like a cat in the corner, waiting for his companions to be released and play with him.
Soon, a yellow mouse bounded down the stairs and into the room to the smell of his favourite food, ketchup. Pikachu presumed it was Ash as he was usually up first of of the three siblings. He got a shock when it was Yellow cooking breakfast in the frying pan on the hob.
