I stood sighing loudly staring at the horrible brick building in front of me. After 9 years of living inside of the cruddy rusty red bricked building I was finally leaving it. I didn’t understand if I should be feeling happy or upset about the whole ordeal. It wasn’t like I had very fond memories of it, yet I didn’t have many bad ones either. My eyes were just focused of the groups of people staring out of the windows with curious gazes wondering what type of people would adopt a kid like me; a full grown girl already about to turn 18 in just a few months. It boggled even me, wondering why some weird freaked out people would adopt someone like me who will be out of there house in 12 months 3 weeks and 12 hours and 21 minutes…and yes I am counting. You tend to count the time you are stuck in a place like this just wondering when you get out.

“Cruz…turn around dear…meet your new family.” The voice of the brutal nun I had been beaten by on more then one occasion.

My hands tucked deep into my wet black ripped up skinny jeans. My wet mainly brown multicolored hair plastered to my face from the rain, because of my refusal to stand under the dry umbrella with nun beats-me-a-lot. The cruddy long sleeved bright yellow girly dress shirt sticking uncomfortably against my body, it wasn’t even like the shirt was mine. The nuns has insisted on me looking ‘presentable’ in meeting my new family, but the rain had seemed to ruin all of there crappy work. My socks were already soggy through the hand-me-down stupid shiny black dress shoes. The only thing that didn’t seem to look so bad was probably my face because of my water proof eyeliner and mascara. At least that’s what I had hopped anyway. Taking a deep breath I slowly turned around ignoring the annoying squeak coming from these weird uncomfortable shoes. My eyes downcast towards the ground I couldn’t seem to find the courage to actually look up towards the unfortunate couple that was to take me home.

“Don’t be rude dear say hello.” The nun spoke in a sweet voice. I gulped down uneasily know that under that sickeningly sweet tone there was a hint of a threat saying ‘if you mess this up, you’re going to be in a world of hurt little girl!’

I uneasily turned pushed my wet glasses up the bridge of my nose as I raised my oddly colored hazel eyes up landing on the nun who had now deemed it fit to cover me with the umbrella despite my earlier refusal. Her bright blue eyes narrowed on me begrudgingly as she snapped an arm out causing a natural flinch to occur in my body. But it just caused her to glare towards me again the sweet nun smile never leaving her lips. It didn’t need to though because her eyes gave away everything. My heart beat increased feeling her hand wrapped tightly around my shoulder as she tugged me along next to her. My hand quickly reaching out to grab my suitcase before it was left behind. It wasn’t like I had too much to begin with, but what I did have meant more to me then anything this world could give to me.

I stumbled after the demon possessed nun as she pushed me along with her. My eyes turned towards the big gates that surrounded the orphanage seeing a couple under a big black umbrella. My heart oddly warmed seeing the loving couple smile towards each other with excitement and happiness deep in the souls. The woman had long black and blond hair easily noticed to be at the middle of her back. She was wearing a plain blue sundress that despite it being so normal looking cloths this woman was beyond beautiful. She was like every man’s wet dream, but only one man seemed to catch her fancy. And the man who did was beyond amazing looking. He had a big muscular build, standing very tall and towering over the sweet looking petite women next to him.
