The beginning of friendships

When we stepped out of the limo, I felt feverish. There was one huge building followed by smaller ones; and a vast land of green. This place must have stretched miles. Julian guided us to the main office where we were given our dorm numbers. The lady said that they hold school assembly's for new students; and that the Dean of the school would assign us into one of the nine groups,once we were able to find out what our powers were; Alfheim, the group of light elves, Asgard, group of warrior gods, Jotunheim, group of giants, Midgard, the protectors, Muspellheim, the group of fire, Hel the world of the dead, Nidavelir, the group of dwarves, Svartalfheim, the group of dark elves or the group of Vanaheim. She also told us that there were two other new students arriving today. Julian escorted us to our dorm room. He said in approximately two hours we would be shown to the auditorium. I got the courage to ask Julian what group he was in. He said Midgard because he was a protector. He closed our door and we were left to ponder in each other's thoughts. So which group or what ever the fuck is called do you think we'll be in Gaia? I don't know but I hope we'll be put in the same one your the only person that I know here. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Go answer it I said. No you Evie replied. We argued for about minute before we realized that someone was still waiting for the door to be answered. Evie headed for the door while whispering "fuck you" which I jokingly replied back. Evie swung the door open to reveal a tall girl. Hi I'm Carmela you can call me Ela. Anyways I'm your neighbor I'm required to introduce myself because this dumbass school needs to be chipper; and on top of that the Dean is my uncle. Anywho I'm your neighbor. Evie just busted out laughing. Wow. Your attitude is this just this high. Evie raised her hand as far as she could. Hi, I'm Evelina. You can call me Evie. This is my sister Gaia. She's shy. Also don't touch me I'm a germophobe. Ha, and here I was thinking that you two would be snooty bitches. Well I don't know about your sister though. Well she is shy and quiet but not a snooty bitch. The intercom came on and said that the assembly would be early. Doors opened and the hallways filled with students. Ela escorted us to the auditorium where we were met by a tall man, who seemed rather, well clean. Hello girls, I am Dean Donovan Thane. He reached in for a handshake from Evie but she pulled her hand away. He ignored it and moved on to me. I was to shy to even look him in the eye while doing it. Well we have a shy one here do we. This school will fix you right up. Here are all of your classes. He handed each of us a paper containing five classes. You have already met my niece Carmela she just transferred here as well and this is Sir Taj. The flowers on the desk lit up in flames; and that is why he was expelled from his last school. Gaia and Evelina you only have to attend one class. It assists you so that you may find what abilities you have. Then we will determine which group you are in. Now make your way to the front seats. We all made our way to the front seats and sat.

Evie's pov
Gaia sat next to me and Taj sat in front of me, Carmela sat in front of Gaia. The headmaster continued to deliver his speech for what seemed like an eternity. Finally he stopped talking and said "let the feast begin". Evie I'm starving, I turn too look at her. I say me to. These brown little creatures come out of no where and I jump. What are those???? They are Brownie's, they're mythical creatures that help serve their master or mistress, Carmela says. They put down loads of food on the table. They take a bow and scamper away. I think they're more petrified of us than you are of them, Gaia. Gaia mocks me and I bust out laughing. Taj chuckles and grabs a turkey leg setting it on fire, I like my meat a little more burnt, he winks at me and digs into his food. I ponder to myself " did..did..did he just wink at me?" I start to compose mathematical scenarios in my mind trying to figure out what the fuck just happened. Gaia screams "pudding!" and grabs a big bowl of it and digs in. I grab some fruit and start to eat, Carmela is digging in but has her face in a book, she must be the bookworm type. I glance up at Taj to see that he's digging in with sauce all over his face, I chuckle letting it out of my mouth and he looks up and says "what?" And drops the turkey leg, Gaia, Carmela and I all bust out laughing. He smiles when he sees me laughing. I preceded to hand him a napkin. You have food all over your face. He wipes it off, better? I nod my head still laughing a bit. After we finish eating we are dismissed for our classes. Gaia runs off for her class and so does Carmela, Taj is walking next to me. We walk outside because his class and mine will be held outside today. Once we get to the schools entrance I put my sunglasses on and walk out. Taj is still looking at me. I look over at Taj, yes?, do you know what your power is? I nod my head no, I don't know what mine is I'm hoping I find out today. He gives me a half smile. Taj are you okay? Yes I'm just flustered for some reason. I'm not normally like this around women. He rubs the back of his neck. I smile. Would you like to go to dinner or like a picnic? Taj, I don't know I just met you plus a picnic is cliché, he chuckles; Butttt I would love to. His eyes lit up.

Really?? You'll go with me to a picnic??

Yes Taj I will. He chuckles, okay, um tomorrow around lunch time? Sounds good Taj. We get to my class and he says I'll see you later and he gives me a hug.

God he smelt so good.

Gaia's POV
I walked with Ela. There were two beginners classes and they stuck me and my sister in separate ones. She was older then me. That must've been the reason. I gulped and began to break the silence. So what group are you in? Wow, she talks said Ela.I made a nervous laugh. I'm in Alfheim. I control the earth and I have healing powers. I am also able to shape shift into a basilisk. What's that I spat out. It's like a giant snake. Kind of like Medusa. Oh, that's interesting. Yeah. Anyways this is the class. Thank you Carmela. Please call me Ela. Oh. Thank you Ela, I said shyly. I walked through the doorway where I saw two older looking men conversating with each other. The taller one said, you must be Gaia Ambrosia. Welcome to Beginners 101. I'm professor Artemis Crawford. I'll be your teacher until we learn your abilities. Then you will be passed off to professor Giles, This is he. He took a bow then looked at me awkwardly. Good day Madame and professor. He made his exit. You can take one of those empty seats over there said Mr. Crawford. Class will begin shortly.
