When The Day Met The Night

Chapter2- Can I Ask You Something?

When I got back home with Steven I went to my room straight away and went to bed. I had a dream of being on a case with the team and they were all looking at a computer screen. Reid looked pissed and the girls were crying and the other men were frustrated, I walked over to look at the screen and someone was tied up and looked beaten. I looked more closely and the person was…me.

I sat up in bed looking around the room “it was only a dream” I said to myself; I looked at the time and it was 5am and I was wide awake. I went to my washroom and took a shower I did my usual and finished in a half hour.

I got out and dried my hair than straightened it; I have shoulder length layered black hair with side swept bangs. I put my hair extensions in that I usually wore and put my make up on which included eyeliner and mascara. I got dressed in light blue skinny jeans, navy colored Ked’s, a t-shirt blouse with a black tie, and my black denim vest.

I went to the kitchen and started cooking breakfast. I made bacon, eggs, fruit salad, and some fresh squeezed orange juice for Steven. I started eating my half and than Steven came in and got his, sat down with me.

‘What are you doing at work today?’ he asked chewing on some bacon

‘Don’t know probably what I did yesterday how about you’ I asked taking a bite of egg and bacon

‘I have a few cars to fix up at the shop than after I’m going to the club’ he said finishing his food and he eats fast mine you

‘Isn’t your band playing tonight?’ Steven asked me as I finished the food on my plate and grabbed some fruit

‘Yeah I have to go tonight plus It’s at 9pm tonight I get off at 8pm’ I said putting my plate and bowl away.

‘You guys are going to be good’ he said and left the room.

So your probably wondering “what the heck she works for FBI and is in a band” well the band and I have been together since high school and we play shows one a week; I’m on vocals, and my 3 high school friends are on drums, bass, and guitar.

I got my messenger bag and what not and left to work. It took 20 minutes to get to the office. It was 7:15 and work for me started at 7:20; I went into the elevator and the first person I seen was Emily and JJ

‘Hey Alynne’ JJ said and Emily smiled

‘Hey girls how’s you mornings going so far’ I asked and the elevator was moving

‘Good Henry didn’t get to sleep for an hour after we got back from dinner’ JJ laughed

‘That’s got to be tiring’ I said smiling slightly.

We got to the floor and went to the bullpen. I went over to my desk and put my work on my desk. I heard talking and yelling and seen Reid and Morgan come in and they were coming over to me.

‘Hey Alynne I got a question for you’ Derek said with Reid looking embarrassed

‘Alright shoot’ I said

‘What would you do if Reid asked you out on a date for tonight?’

‘Derek shut your mouth before I make you’ Reid said looking really embarrassed

‘Reid be quiet it’s just a question’ Derek said putting his hand up towards Reid

‘I would say I couldn’t tonight because I have a show to go to’ I said picking up paperwork Hotch put on my desk earlier

‘What kind of show?’ Derek asked me quizzically

‘I’m playing at Jiao Bar with my band tonight’ I said shrugging

‘Will see you there tonight than’ Derek said haling Reid away.

What did I just get myself into? I have no clue but I was sort of excited that Reid would be there. I don’t know why maybe I’m attracted to him or something but why would I be I mean he was rude to me the first time we met. He probably doesn’t even like me at all.
