"Abi, we figured it's best to tell you, being as you're Syd's fiancé and all," Roger started. Roger had called me about twenty minutes ago and said the band was having a meeting at him flat, and not to tell Syd.
"We think it's best that Syd leaves the band," Rick started out.
"And it's not because of David. He didn't do anything, he didn't replace Syd," Nick continued.
"I didn't blame David," I retort.
"Well anyway," Roger adds, ignoring my remark, "Syd needs help. And lots of it. And if he doesn't get it, he won't be part of Pink Floyd. The reason we tell you is because-"
"Because you guys only know me as Syd's babysitter! I'm not friends to any of you all, am I? I'm the one who takes all the shit, I'm the one who has to deliver the news to Syd all the time. I'm sick of it! I'm not even his fiancé to his mind, I'm just Abigail, his 'high school lover who's going through a lot right now'," I blurt out, losing my temper. David looked shocked, Roger looked annoyed, and Rick remained quiet. Nick reached over and tried to hug me, but I got up and stormed out.
How dare they! How dare they hurt Syd like that! He started the goddamn band, and now they think they can just sack him from the band? I run to Syd's flat, which is half a kilometre away. Out of breath and barely standing, I barge into his flat. This time, it's empty. I walk to the back and see Syd, strumming his guitar.
"Hey Abigail!" He cheerily says.
"H-hi Syd," I respond, shocked to see that he's having a good day.
"What's wrong, babe?"
"Nothing," I say, deciding not to tell him about being kicked out of the band.
"Well, in that case, I wrote a song for the band. It's about you. Wanna hear it?"
"Sure."
Syd strummed a chord and started;

I was astonished by the beautiful song, cheery and fun.
"Syd that's beautiful."
"I'm debating on naming it Love You or Abigail."
"Name it Love You."
"Why?"
"It just seems more reasonable. I dunno, just more better."
"We haven't been on a date in so long, y'know?"
"Yea.. Almost two years."
"Why don't we go out to the diner down the block?"
"Sure thing."
Ready for three days of hell?

We all turn around to see Syd cheerily walk into a band practice that he was not invited to.
David looked at me, then Syd, back at me again, then back at Syd. It was Roger who chose to speak.
"Syd, you're no longer a member of Pink Floyd. Didn't Abi tell you?"
Syd's expression fell, he looked at me in disbelief.
"How could you?" He asked me, storming out.
I look at the band, and storm out. I collapse in the hallway of the flat suite. I cry, harder than I've cried in forever. I feel arms curl around me.
"Abigail," I hear Rick's voice say, "stay strong."
