"Dark side of the moon? That name is trippy as hell. I love it." I say to David, as him and Roger bicker over what to title their upcoming album.
I glance over at Rick, who has his head down.
"Rick, come outside and smoke a fag with me." I say to him.
"Penny for your thoughts." I say as he lights his cigarette.
"It's Roger. He always tries to fight with me. He hates me. I hate him. I'm sick of being in a band with him."
"Oh come on Rick. Hang in there."
"You don't understand. Since Syd, he has been an inconsiderate asshole to me."
"Well, it hurt him. It hurt all of us."
Rick looked off in the distance. He stomped on his fag and went back inside the studio.
I sighed and sunk down to sit on the sidewalk.
"Hey guys, I'm just gonna go home," I say to the guys through the door.
I walk to my flat, which is just a block away from Rodger's flat, where everyone is.

After a few hours, David walked in the door, looking worn out, yet satisfied.
"Hey Hun, wanna hear the song I wrote for Syd?"
Surprised at what he said, I jumped a little and said, "yes."
David pulled out his guitar and started a solo. After the song finished, he said, "we're calling it Wish You Were Here."
Tearing up, I hugged him. "It's beautiful."
None of us have heard from Syd since the last time he showed up uninvited at a gig, almost two years ago. Since then he's come out with another solo album, but we're thinking it's his last. He's cut his hair short, he did an interview for Melody Maker over a year ago, that was it. He hasn't been seen or heard from since then.
David had the idea to put me on anti depressants since all that had a huge impact on me, but instead I just smoke pot. I grew my shoulder length hair out, which is now down to my lower back.
"Thanks dear. Let's put on some music and relax a little, I feel bad since I haven't been around because of this new album."
I smile and David puts on an Andy Williams album. We sit on our couch and flip through a magazine, when suddenly Moon River comes on. I stand up and reach my hand out to David, who takes it and guides me around our apartment. "Moon riverrr," he sang along, as I smiled and he twirled me around. Barefoot, harem pants twirling with me, moon shining through the curtains, we honestly looked a mess dancing, but we didn't care. He makes me the happiest girl in the world.
"They're just putting the final touches on the album, we'll release it by next month. Then I'm all yours," David says to me.
I smile and say, "good, but don't let me get in the way of your work, I know how much this band means to you."
David smiles and picks me up, kissing me. "Ugh you're perfect," I whisper, smiling.
"Oh hey! I picked this up for you," David says, setting me down and reaching under the bed to grab a bag. I open the bag to see another album of Syd's titled Barrett.
"Oh, thanks," I say, setting it on our dresser. I didn't think I'd want to listen to it, perhaps ever.

A/N: this chapter isn't very long but the next one I don't think will be very long either. I have it typed out but I may add some. They're mostly fillers.
