Sam's P.O.V.

"Hey James, what's up man?" I asked one of my best friends as I approached his house.

"Oh hey Sam, nothing really, just Instagram, you know, the usual." James smiled. I rolled my eyes as I bounced my basketball between my fingertips, watching him focus on his phone.

"Dude, I will hit you with this." I said and pretended to throw the ball at him. He didn't even flinch.

"Sorry, this new chick followed me on Instagram and I recognized her from school." He said, standing up and throwing his phone down on the grass where he previously sat.

"Really? She hot?" I smirked and threw the ball to him.

"Eh, I guess, but she's like emo, so not really." He said with disgust in his voice as he passed the ball back to me.

"So she's a cutter? How do you know that?" I asked curiously and threw the ball at the hoop, missing the shot by nearly a half inch.

"No one knows if she is or not, but this guy Braiden really thinks she does. He hates her for no reason." James shrugged and ran after the ball a little.

"Oh, well, now I wonder if she really is hot." I smirked slightly as he went and picked up his phone again.

"Here." He said and showed me a girl with black and red hair with the prettiest storm gray eyes.

"Dude." I was shocked. How could anyone think this girl was ugly, an emo, a cutter?

"What?" He looked at my face, my blonde hair dangling in my eyes.

"She is really... Beautiful." I said, looking from her face to his, a clouded confused expression on it.

"Um, dude? She likes that goth band and she's really weird." I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever, I still think she's hot. Now come on, I didn't come all the way over here just to sit around." I said, trying to distract myself from thinking of that girl. I didn't even know her name, but I could tell she was amazing.

"Alright, and I'm telling Juliet." He smirked and I looked at him confused.

"Who's Juliet?"

"The redhead." He said, as if it was obvious. I shook my head fast.

"No no no no no. Please don't." I begged. She didn't know me, but I thought she was beautiful and I liked her.

"Alright, but as long as you actually don't like her. Because that'd be really weird." He said, running a hand over his short blonde hair. James was shorter than me and went to a different school. He was awesome though, we hung out all the time.

"I don't, I just think she's hot." I shrugged and looked for the ball. I did like her though. Juliet. Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.

"Good, now let's shoot hoops and then later we can go watch Doctor Who." He smiled and tossed me the ball.

"Sounds cool." I shot at the hoop and it sunk through the net.
