Cath was woken up by a buzz from her phone.

A text and 2 missed calls - from Levi. She took the plug out of her phone, from the charger and looked at the time.

8:30.

"Crap."

She rung Levi while grabbing what to wear.

"Hey" Cath said, whilst frantically panicking around her room.

"Cather, I'm waiting outside."

"OK, I'll be down in 5."

"Can't wait!"

Even that simple sentence. Cath, once again, couldn't help but smile at how everything in her life seemed to be perfectly aligned for once.

She sprinted down the stairs. Her dad seemed fine, he was just working on some papers on the couch - barely noticing her. She went up to him, kissed him on the forehead and waved goodbye.

"Bye dad!"

"So soon?" he asked, barely glancing over at her.

"Yeah, dad it's almost 9am"

He looked over at the clock; shocked.

"Well, okay, stay safe honey!"

Cath opened the door, and stepped outside to see Levi waiting by the porch.

Levi was wearing a navy blue flannel and black jeans. His hair was perfect. He was perfect. The fact that Cath was finally seeing him again... It all seemed, perfect.

"Hey!" Cath said - louder and a lot more cheerful than she meant it to be.

She missed him so much, that she could've just smothered herself all over him, but she somehow managed to contain it.

"Cather!!"

Putting his arms up in the air and wrapping her up. Cath always had a cozy, fuzzy and warm type of feeling when Levi touched her. It almost felt like actual fireworks were going on inside of her brain. She never wanted it to end.

They were both late for their first day back at school, but Cath didn't care, she had Levi with her, and that's all she wanted.

Levi kissed Cath on the forehead and wrapped one arm over her shoulders; she rested her head on his shoulder as they walked towards his truck.
