Kiki POV

The smell of alcohol and cigarettes continued to linger around my house as I found myself doing nothing but drinking alcohol until I was drunk and smoking cigarettes for weeks on end.
Ever since that morning when I kicked her out of my house because of her cheating on me, I haven't been the same and I haven't been able to pick myself back up either. I was just stuck in the same spot, with the same feelings of a broken heart that felt like it was being torn out of my body every second I breathed, and the same contemplation still wandered through my mind as to whether or not I should contact her or hope she would contact me.

The sounds of my ringtone started ringing, causing me to almost jump out of my seat and my thoughts to be put aside. ''Hello?'' I said as I answered my phone with a grin on my face, feeling light-weighted but anxious. I was sure it was Mae on the other end of the line. ''Hey babe! How are you? We should catch up next week!'' A sudden frown and a heavy feeling returned to my face and body, to my dismay, it was my best friend. I shouldn't feel this way at the moment with my best friend on the other end of the line but I did. I suppose my hopes were too high for it to be Mae. ''Sure babe, see you next week.'' I said to my best friend, trying to sound excited and happy as can be.
