I looked at Sakura with confusion and surprise... "wha?" My mouth was gaped open a bit. Sakura laughed lightly and shook her head at me. "I said congratulations Ayno. Your due date is December 24th." Sakura repeated herself from the first time. I snapped out of it, and started laughing and crying at the same time. "This can't be real!? I'm-gonna be a mom!" I jumped up quickly and hugged her. Sarada interrupted by opening the door. "Mommy, you left your lunch at home." I laughed and pulled her into a hug as well.
After checking out of the hospital I rushed home quickly, and carefully too. As soon as I made it inside, Madara turned his attention away from the television and smiled. "Ah you've returned from the hospital. Are you well? Have you figured out the sickness that's been plaguing you?" He asked me. When he realized I was smiling widely he began to worry. "Are you...okay?" He asked me cautiously. I chuckled and rushed over to him. By the time he stood up, I slammed into him for a hug. I started crying and laughing so I'm sure he was severely unsettled by now. "Madara! I'm pregnant!"
"What did you just say?"
"I'm pregnant Madara."
"I'm...going to be a father...me?" He asked with shock still rittled on his face. He looked down at me for confirmation and I smiled. Madara realized everything was true and his mouth turned up at the edges. He squeezed his eyes shut to prevent tears from escaping, and he laughed. He picked me up, spun me around, and laughed. "I'm going to be a father! Imagine that!"
That night, Madara placed his head down on my stomach and spoke of a bright future to our child. I listened to his soothing words until I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face. I had no regret for a single decision I had made in my life from then on. I was happy with Madara, and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
