Third person POV
Mystic falls, Virginia 1864
A horse drawn carriage comes up to the Salvatore house. Stefan comes out and has his hands behind his back patiently waiting for the guests it the carriage. It comes to a stop in the front. A woman comes out with dark skin and hair. She is followed by another woman with olive skin and dark brown hair. She curtsied and he bowed.
"You must be ms. Pierce" he said to her
"Please, call me Katherine"

Emma's POV
"What are you?!" I ask him as Elena comes up behind me. He stays silent and just stares at me "what are you?!" I repeat
He doesn't speak for a while but when he finally does he just says "you know"
I shake my head 'no' refusing to believe it "no. I don't" I say to him
"Yes you do, both of you" he tells me "or else you guys wouldn't be here"
"It's not possible" I said "it can't be"
He reaches over to word the shelf to put something down and I step back bringing Elena with me.
"Everything you know and every belief is about to change" he says to us "are you ready for that?"
"What are you?!" I yell just needing him to say it
"I'm a vampire" he tells us
It finally hits me
"We shouldn't of come here" I say and start to back away with Elena still not able to speak
"No... No. Please" he says as he steps closer
"No!... No!" I yell and start to run to my car with Elena. Stefan vampire sped in front of us "how did you do that?" I ask looking back in forth from where is was to where he is now.
"Please don't be afraid of me" he tells us
"Let us go!" I yell
"Please Emma, Elena. There are things that you don't know. That no one understands" he says as he grabs onto me
"Let me go!" I yell as I got loose. I grabbed Elena's hand and we ran to the car. I got in the drivers seat and her in the passenger. I then drove us away as fast as possible
We got back to our house and ran into our own rooms. I walk in there and
walk through the bathroom over to Jeremy's room. I open his door to see he is listening to music. I close his door and walk back to my room. I sit on the edge of my bed and take off my shoes.
I lay back on my back. I stand up and start to pace the length of my room.
"Emma" i hear someone say from behind me. I turn around and see Stefan. I start to run for the door but he gets there and puts his hand on the door so I can't open it. "I would never hurt you. You can trust me"
"All those animal attacks" I say and then turn around "those people who died"
"No, that was Damon" he answers
