"Mate." The words came out of his mouth as a growl.

My eyes widened and for once, I momentarily didn't know what to do.

"Fuck my life ." Was surprised my response.

Those four words were said, and it seemed that both sides of this impending fight weren't sure of how to proceed.

The first to snap out of this trance was my so call "mate". He went to take a step forward, and my whole pack started growling.

We were a protective bunch. Pack was family, and you protect those you love.

The Alpha of the Crater pack retaliated with an even more terrifying growl. It was low and rumbling. A warning, to back off.

I sighed. Again.

Omg! Omg! Mate! Mate! Mate! Finally girl! I've been waiting forever. My wolf, Aurora, said to me.

It hasn't been forever, you haven't been alive that long. And please, you're in my head, I can hear you. Quiet down. I replied to her.

I took a step forward.

"Can everyone stand down? God you wake me up at an ungodly hour, coming ready to attack, and then come and try and stake a claim as a mate on me! It's to early and I haven't eaten anything yet. How about we go and discuss this over breakfast." My annoyed, but reasonable words seem to catch everyone off guard.

For a moment everyone stares at me. Then their Alpha breaks into a slight smile.

"Whatever you would like, Beauty."

==========================

Since we had basically double the size of our pack here for breakfast, I put the teens on Wednesday and Thursday breakfast duty on the task of making us breakfast.

See, in my pack, I split up the work to make everything more fair, and to help give all of our teens a sense of responsibility at a younger age.

They set out to make us pancakes, bacon, has browns, eggs, waffles, sausage, and French toast in the former kitchen of the pack house. Since the kitchen was recently remodeled with 2 stoves, 3 ovens, 2 sinks, 3 dishwashers, and 2 fridges, it took only 40 minutes for breakfast to be made.

Our pack was large, so we needed the necessary accommodations to fit it's size in the pack house. We had around 300+ members in our pack, a medium size compared to other, but still fairly large.

The pack house was a white stone house that was built with a cliff at its back, and a forest at its front. It's whits stone in the outside, with lots of arch ways and window. The outside is covered in pathways with intricate railings built around it.

Where there was a plateau right below where the house was built, my however many great times grandparents decided to make steps going down to that plateau, and make a pool out of it. They cut out an area in the large plateau and filled it with water, which really, in the state of Arizona, is nice during the summer.

Back to the present, everyone has just gotten their food from the buffet style tables that were set up. Everyone is beginning to chose their seats in the huge dining hall the pack house has, with high ceilings and an endless amount of Windows and French doors.

The Alpha has currently chosen his spot. Directly across from me.

Great.

Looking around, I am hoping desperately that Carter will come and save me from having to talk to this Aloha right now. But, as life will have it, Carter seems preoccupied with a shewolf from the Crater Pack.

Dang it.
