I walked into the cafe. Mary the owner called a hello and I returned it with a nod. Sitting in a booth by the window I watched people as they passed by. Armed with a pen and some paper I began to write.
Alice Colt,
I love the way you smile when you first wake up. I love the way you laugh at everyone around you and how you light up my world.
You told me once we all can see the bright side of things and you my dear were right. You were my bright side, you showed me that living is worth it. I promised you that I wouldn't try again. You promised to help me. I'm so proud that you cared enough about me.
Every time I look around I see light, But now it seems so dim against you. They say those who are good die young but why cant the good die old?
It hurts Alice. I miss you so much I'm in pain. You told me once love wasn't easy. But once you love someone they stay with you forever. So I'm telling you now I love you Alice. I'm so sorry for not telling you.
Your promise is safe with me
