Jay's Point of View
As always, I woke up in the middle of the night. I raised my head and moved my body, slowly, so that Dorian wouldn't wake up.
It's not something I can escape. My mind will go into consciousness every night at between two and three in the morning. There's only been 2 or 4 nights where I have slept the whole night.
As any other night when I wake up at this time, I get up. There's not really a reason to it, I guess I just got tired of lying down and not going to sleep. Before I'm able to rest again when I wake up is when get out of bed to do something. Thus, that is why I got up.
Slowly, I open the door of Jareth's room. If I looked close enough, which I did, I could see a red mark, contrast to the white door. Then I looked for any other red marks on the door, and I found more. It was in random places but I had no idea how it got there. The marks were not a reason to on panic, so I didn't, I just slowly left the room and walked to the bathroom.
Once I got in, I walked straight to the bath tub and sat in there. It was normal to do things like this. That's how I am. The bathroom has always been my happy place at home. I'd sit on the rug thing in front of the sink and read, sometimes just sit there and think. I'm not sure why I'd pick the bathroom over my room but I would. What can I say, the bathroom is quiet. It also smells like really, really good. That's about it.
This bathroom in particular smelled like some type of tropical fruit. It made me think about this bathroom with coconut trees in it. And like, the sun would be shining down on this bathroom. It could be a tropical bathroom. The bathroom walls were painted to look electrical. You know, like an electrical blue? It was blue and light blue, with white streaks, here and there, in the shape of a lightning bolt or root of a plant.
A pillow and a blanket would be nice.
Both- my thoughts and my conscience- of us thought at the same time.
The tub felt nice to lie in, honestly. Nothing was wrong with it. It was smooth and just...smooth and stuff. In my opinion, it was too good. The tub was dry and it reminded me of how I was just lying-or standing- I don't exactly remember- in the tub with cold water running above and on me. The tub is blue- like the sky blue but darker, lighter than the regular blue though. The shower head is silver. It doesn't look worn or anything. Like solid silver.
Now, I wasn't going to sleep in here, sadly, but I was going to lie in it and think. After all, the bathroom is my happy/thinking place.
Maybe after a drink.
With that thought, I stood and out of the tub I got. I quietly opened the bathroom door and ran down the steps, leaving the bathroom light on. I dislike being in dark hallways. I'd rather be in a dark alley than in a dark hallway, and that's saying a lot. Ghosts and/or demons can get you in the hallway and take you into the basement or torture you in your own bedroom. Your own bedroom! Maybe even your bathroom. Anywhere really. In an alley, I'm sure the worst that can happen is that you can't find your way out and you run into a zombie. Just saying...
When I arrived at the bottom, I immediately seen a silhouette of a person. It seemed to be a man. Indeed he was a little thin but you could tell it was a man because he was very tall, about six feet tall. He was standing in the kitchen doing something. The light was off so I couldn't really see what it was that he was doing. Either way, he broke in and burglary is wrong. It's either that or he wandered into the wrong house and hasn't turned on the light to see that this isn't his house.
Please let this not be a burglar. We should all hope, if it is one, that he will live after I beat him down to a pulp.
This would also be the perfect time to test my strength. I had to make sure I hadn't lost any power or skill in fighting. Then I'd have to start punching trees again, and that's too much work.
