The End of the Beginning

"Jacke! Jacke!" Ali yelled and jerked Jacke up and down.

"Come on Ali!" Rin yelled and pulled on Ali's collar.

"Jacke has to wake up, though," Ali whined.

"He's dead, no living breath out of him," Owl said.

"What! No!" Ali said as she ran off into the distance.

"Shouldn't you be more sad?" Jess asked.

"Nah. Autem took that emotion away," Rin shrugged.

"Yeah same," Owl agreed.

"Oh. I hear people talking about me," Autem said.

"Jess and Ali, you remember last time right?" Rin whispered.

"Yeah," Ali said as she made grass grow by Autem's feet.

"Ew!" Autem yelled, "Kit, Kitty, Birdy, Wolf, Bro, Girl!"

"The beauty became a ghost, too?" Kit asked.

"Yep," Girl replied.

"Hey! I'm the beauty!!" Kitty yelled.

"Kit! Girl! Take care of Owl!" Autem ordered, "Birdy and Kitty take care of Jess! Bro and Wolf take care of Rin!"

"Oh great more fighting," Jess sighed.

"I know right," Owl shrugged.

"Wait. Something's not right here," Rin said and squinted at the ghosts, "they have auras."

"That's impossible," Jess said, "they'd ghosts. I mean technically they shouldn't be seen either."

"I know, but look. Don't they look familiar?" Rin asked.

"You know what they do." Owl replied.

"Listen. That girl, Birdy, has a yellow aura and Kit has an maroon aura. Then there is Kitty who has a brown aura and Wolf doesn't have an aura. Kitty has a green aura and Bro had a light gray aura. These ghosts are the ghosts of our friends." Rin smiled.

"Hey! Guys!" They heard a familiar voice. They all turned around to see Chifu and Daiko dragging Ali towards them.

"Chifu! Daiko!" Jess yelled and ran up to them.

"Crap! This'll be harder." Autem sneered.

"No it won't. Not if we get three alone," Bro smiled.

"You're right," Autem said.

"I got this," Hailee said grabbing Owl and draining his power.

"Aah!" Owl yelled as he fell to the ground and turned into dust.

Everyone looked in horror, "What I got an upgrade," Hailee shrugged.

"Run!" Rin yelled as she grabbed Jess's wrist and ran up the stairs to the principals office.

"Come on," Daiko said and grabbed Chifu and Ali's wrists and ran to the door.

"What are we doing?" Ali asked as they an out the door.

"We're leaving. If you didn't notice no one except for people from clans got in. I've also noticed Autem and Hailee never left he school campus to find people to eat,  that means the can't leave the place where they died," Daiko explained.

"Those ghosts are fast. What now?" Chifu said.

"We just have to leave the school grounds," Daiko explained.

"They're gaining!" Ali yelled.

"I got this," Chifu said as he got free of Daiko and put a border between him and Chifu, "go! I'll hold 'em off."

"I'll come back once I get Ali to the gate," Daiko assured.

"Don't bother save yourselves," Chifu said as he burnt some of the ghosts.

"OK," Ali said dragging Daiko away.

"No wait! We have to go back!" Daiko yelled.

"Shut up! Just shut that fucking mouth of yours. We've all felt loses and want revenge , but today we need to leave this school and destroy it to put them at rest," Ali said.

"Let's g-" Daiko could finish when he saw Ali get shot it the heart with an arrow.

"Go," Ali said weakly, "put our souls to rest."

"Of course," Daiko said as he reached the school gate and climbed over to see what had become of the actual world.

What Daiko saw was death. Plants were still blooming and the lights were still on, but every human being was gone.

"What? No. This can't be true," Daiko fell to his knees.

In the principal's office....

"He's not here," Jess insightfully said.

"Thanks Sherlock," Rin thanked sarcastically.

"Welcome," They heard a kids voice and turned around to see a kid, "I should've told you this on the flier but this isn't an ordinary school its a magic school on my planet of Kahlil. Also as soon as you stepped foot in the gate you were on my planet. Also schools on Kahlil are different from the schools on Poni if you haven't noticed that this isn't a real school you're stupid."

"What!? No!" Jess yelled.

"Yes, now get out of my office," the kid said.

"No, we need information," Rin explained.

"What info?" He asked.

"This is probably a guess, but what is your power?" Rin asked.

"I can bring ghosts back to life, but only one a year," He replied.

"Bring back Autem," Rin ordered.

"Rin have you thought this through I mean seriously him?" Jess asked worriedly.

"I'm for sure," Rin said.

"Ok then," he said as Autem walked through the door solid.

"Rin he's solid now," Jess urged.

"Ready Autem?" Rin asked.

"Yep," Autem said as Rin created a light bubble and brought them all out except for the principal.

"Rin are you crazy?!" Jess yelled.

"Look Jess. I promised Rin I would explain everything when left that awful building," Autem explained.

"Look! Its Daiko!" Rin yelled and dropped the bubble by Daiko.

"Rin! Jess! Autem! ....Autem?" Daiko looked confused.

"Hers the summary of everything. This desolate place is your home world, Poni. The school is gone and everything that happened in the building stays in the building," Autem explained.

"No way! You can't be good!" Daiko yelled.

"Autem told me and Owl what was going on when we were captured he said he wanted to get out of the building and how to get him out after he was out he would explain what happened. He also told us how to get out, I was supposed to get him into human form and Owl was supposed to lead you out, but Owl died. Then I found out you knew so I went to them principals office. I'm glad that building is gone." Rin sighed.

"Why are you referring to it as the building?" Daiko asked.

"Because that wasn't a school none of us actually know what it was," Autem replied.

"Enough of that. We have to face the task at hand," Jess informed as they all looked at the humanless world.

"Let's figure out what happened." They all said.
