Radicals call it "The day democracy did." June 6th, 2015
Mr. Drumf, multibillionaire, renowned business man, architect of some of the most magnificent structures, was running for President of the United States of America. He was charismatic. He told it like it was. He said what everyone else was too scared to say. "Mexicans are rapists. Muslims are terrorists. Abortion should be criminal."
Everyone agreed; life long Republicans agreed, life long Democrats agreed, Independents agreed. Young, old, wealthy, poor.
The only ones who didn't agree were the Radicals; the democratic socialists. "A wall will only divide us further, raise tensions, plus, it will cost a fortune not matched by even a billionaire."
The Radicals were, as radicals often are, ignored. The reasonable people flocked to Mr. Drumf. His rating went through the roof. His numbers were astronomically high. The people loved him.
November 2016, election day, the country rejoiced, yet was unsurprised, when Mr. Drumf became President Drumf.
Soon after more people started saying the democracy, had indeed, died.
