My best friends, best friend

"Gweny" Liam screamed when he saw me standing in front of his door. He pushed past our moms who were talking in the hallway and pulled me in for a hug. "It has been so long" I said while hugging him. "You've grown. You no longer are a helpless little girl" Liam said when we pulled apart. "I've never been little and sure as hell not helpless" I laughed and hit his chest playfully.

I walked past him and congratulated his mom with Liam's 15th birthday. You see, birthdays are some of the few times I see Liam. I've known him all my life because our moms are best friends, and we are too....kinda. We have this weird 'friendship'. He has always been like an older brother (although he is only 2 months older he acted like he was all grown up and knew everything better) including all the bickering, but when I really needed him he always was there for me.

Liam and I walked into the living room where all the other people were. They were all laughing and talking about random things. Liam and I walked towards the kitchen to grab something to drink, but when we walked into the kitchen I saw Niall. Niall was Liam's best friend. I didn't really know Niall but I saw him every birthday party and we got along well. "Hi Gwen" Niall said and walked towards me pulling me in for a hug too. "How are you?" he asked me and I just replied with a good. We all grabbed something to drink and walked upstairs.

"I GOT THE EYE OF THE TIGER, A FIGHTER, DANCING THROUGH THE FIRE. CAUSE I AM A CHAMPION AND YOU'RE GONNA HEAR ME ROAR LOUDER, LOUDER THAN A LION. CAUSE I AM A CHAMPION AND YOU'RE GONNA HEAR ME ROAR OH OH OH O-" Niall and I were screaming at the top of our longs but got cut off by Liam "You guys wanna go outside for a moment; it's kinda boring in here". Niall and I agreed to go but we first finished the song because we both loved it.

Liam, Niall and I walked through their street in the dark. It was already 11 pm and I have to admit I was a little scared. It was so dark and there were some weird noises all around us. Liam looked at me and saw the scared look in my eyes "Awh is little Gweny scared?" he cooed. I slapped his arm and continued walking. After a few seconds I felt an arm around my waist and I got pulled into someone's chest. I looked up and saw Niall smiling at me. I smiled back at him and we just walked further. No longer had feeling scared because I knew Niall was there.

"Niall, I bet you can't get on this roof" Liam said while standing on the roof of their school which was just a 10 minute walk from his house. "Challenge accepted" Niall screamed and tried to get on the roof.

It was really fun to watch. He was jumping against the wall and trying to grab the window but he was a little too small. "C'mon Niall you can do it!" I screamed and he flashed me a smile.

After 10 minutes of trying, Niall sat on the roof together with Liam. They were talking and I sat on the ground texting some friends.  "MY MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD AND THE'RE LI-" my ringtone sounded and I quickly picked it up. "Gwen" I said and I heard my mom "You guys have to get back here, it's really late and dangerous" she said. "Ýes mother" I sighed and hang up the phone. "We have to get back!" I screamed at the boys they both frowned but Liam jumped of the roof. We started walking back to the house but stopped when we realised Niall wasn't walking behind us. We turned around and saw that Niall was still sitting on the roof. "What's wrong?" Liam asked and Niall shook his head "I don't know how to get of" and with that Liam and I cracked up laughing so hard we fell on the ground. "Niall don't be a coward and just jump off" Liam screamed, but I kind of felt sorry for Niall so I walked back. "Niall just jump, I'll be here" I said and opened my arms, in a joking kind of way but he smiled and jumped.

Niall jumped right in my arms,

and on top of me.

We were lying on the floor laughing really hard. He didn't really land on me, he jumped on the floor in front of me but he fell over. I we were both laughing really hard but suddenly stopped. I looked in his beautiful blue eyes "I'm so sorry Gwen" Niall said getting of me and helping me up. "It's okay" I laughed.

"Bye Gwen, I guess I'll see you next year" Niall said pulling me onto a hug. It was already the end of the night and he had to go home. "I hope so" I replied looking into his eyes. His beautiful blue eyes. It had been a really great night. We had a lot of fun and I was kinda sad he had to go. We pulled apart and Niall gave Niall a bro hug then he turned back to me and gave me one last hug. His hug felt so....safe. Niall had been really sweet the whole night and I really hope that the next time I see him everything will be the same. "I like you" he whispered in my ear and walked away.

"You know, I can really see you and Niall happen someday" Liam told me as we walked back inside the house.

"I can too"
