"Did you remind Shinra and Celty it starts at six?" I asked Shizuo who was in bending down in front of the fridge.

"For the fifth time today" He answered distractedly as he pulled out a bottle of milk.

"Okay, good" I checked my makeup one more time before taking my coat and purse "I'll go fetch your suit while you set the table"

     "Which dishes again?"

I gave him a look and he looked frightened for a moment before asking "I forgot, okay?"

Slipping inside the coat I motioned my chin towards the top-most section of the glass cabinet in the kitchen "The fancy-looking ones. You know, the ones my mother sent me even though I don't even like people coming over"

     "Right. Fancy" He noted.

I was about to reach for the door knob but stopped "Wait. Did you ask Tom for the day off?"

"How could I not when you kept telling me to tell him for the last—I dunno—week?"

I was not amused. He probably noticed because Shizuo chuckled and walked towards me to grab my hands "Relax, will you? Everything's going to be fine. I should know. You're running the show"

A coy smile made its way to my lip, but I freed one hand and touched his cheek "Sweetie" I said sweetly "No cheap pick-up lines when my parents come over, okay?"

His smile disappeared and he nodded obediently "Yeah, okay"

"Good. Watch the oven, I'll be back later"

Thank goodness the dry-cleaners was only three blocks away and in walking distance because the traffic was just horrible.

"Sweetie, I'm back. Hurry up and put on your suit. Have you set the table already?" I put my keys in the green plastic bowl by the door "Shizuo?" I made my way to dining room and froze when I saw my parents sitting across Shinra and Celty.

Celty was talking casually with my mother before she lifted her recently-found head to turn to me "Oh, hey. I hope you don't mind but I saw that the casserole was done so I got it out the oven"

I finally snapped out of it and waved my hands in the air "No, it's fine. Thank you, and thanks for coming"

"Well, thank you for inviting us" She smiled sweetly. Celty was inhumanly beautiful and her kindness just adds to her charm, no wonder so many people fought for her head.

     Ew.

"Mom, Dad" I nodded in acknowledgment "I guess you already met Celty and Shinra. They're good friends of Shizuo. You know, my roommate?"

"Ah, yes. The bartender boy" Dad said "We still haven't met him"

"Bodyguard, actually" I corrected and started to back up "I, uh, I'll go get him"

After swiftly getting out my coat I basically dove inside my and Shizuo's bedroom where I found him pacing back and forth.

"My parents are here" I shout-whispered, handing him the suit.

"I know your parents are here!" He retorted "Why do you think I asked Celty to distract them while I hid—waited for you?"

"Oh my god, oh my god, they're here and you still haven't changed and I still need to check if the casserole is good enough. What if it's not good enough for them?"
