Chapter Eight: Darkness in the Middle of Town

Superboy and Blue Beetle manage to safely return themselves and the others back to the tower. They immediately called for the medical attention, to check on each injured member. Happy to learn that they were all fine. A couple of bruises and scratches only to be worried about.

As soon as everyone recovered, Batman considered Blue's idea and discussed the matter to all Young Justice and Justice League members. But Batman did not invite them within the actual matter of Rumpelstiltskin and his associates. He knew of their capabilities and thought well to not put anymore lives at risk. Thus he held a private meeting with only those familiar to his power and have recently been affected by it. Batman, Flash, Nightwing, Kid Flash, Blue Beetle, Impulse, Superboy, Robin, Artemis, Zatanna, M'gann and Aqualad all present within a meeting room at the tower. They discuss their thoughts.

"Rumpelstiltskin would be easier to take if the whole League including the members of young justice were involved with our attack." Kid Flash argues first.

"The League and other members of young justice have no connection to this situation. They are not responsible for our mistakes." Batman snaps back.

Flash also decides to put in. "Besides, if we all decide to attack a particular location they could poof themselves away to safety."

"If we are to attack them, we would have to attack as a small, unthreatening group to defeat them. In addition, the rest of the League and other members of young justice have agreed to be our eyes. They have agreed to roam the planet to locate their whereabouts and a inform us some leads for their future, possible actions." Flash adds.

Zatanna raises her hand. "I would also like to add that, the eight of you." She points over to the eight couples. "May reveal a weakness of Rumpelstiltskin and most likely his associates too."

M'gann agrees humbly along with Aqualad.

"We?" Robin points over himself with his partner, and to the other couples.

"Yes." Zatanna smiles. "Most of you all have been under the wrath of Rumple's dark magic and have broken it."

Flash's eyes widened. "Yes, you may be right Zatanna." He admits. "We have... love." He sighs and says his words. "We have found true love."

Nightwing begins to speak. "Yes! With love."

Blue Beetle completes his sentence. "We can defeat Rumpelstiltskin."

"It is true." Impulse also contributes to the meeting. "We did manage to stun Rumpelstiltskin back at the circus, if I remember clearly, we forced them to retreat."

"But they did succeed. They managed to pull out another person from a portal, another one part of their 'gang'." Nightwing confesses with disappointment and shame.

"Her name is Cruella DeVil." Doctor Fate interrupts and startles everyone within the room.

"Doc?" Flash gasps.

"Batman, If I may." He asks politely.

Batman's eyes narrow at Doctor Fate's entrance. He had no choice but to nod.

"Thank you." He bows before the dark knight. "The woman you that was pulled out by Mr Gold or Rumpelstiltskin, is known as Cruella DeVil. Like the rest of Rumpel's associates, she is a powerful sorceress with the ability to control any living creature known to man."

"You know her?" Nightwing questions.

"I have been studying these new 'problems' for weeks. Spying on them and actually payed a visit to their land."

"You crossed... world's?" Zatanna gasps at Doctor Fate's power.

"Yes. And there's is much more I need to share to you. When I payed my visit I have learned their plans and their intentions for our world. I can confirm that their intentions are to expel all light magic."
