The New Kid

Chapter 2

When I reached the front door of ben’s house he opened the door. “Hey man how’s it going?”  He said. Ben is 5’5 he has long jet black hair that that covered his eyes. He is wearing a black shirt that says “Black veil brides” on it and he is wearing blue jeans. “Nothing much Ben, just trying to my mind off of school,” I answered.

  “Well if that’s the case then you came to the right place josh and I are playing halo 4 you want to join us?”

  “Yeah sure why not,” I said with a friendly smile.

  “Cool come in my parents aren’t home but I got some pizza you can have some if you want,”

  “Good ‘cause I’m starving I haven’t eaten a lot today,” I said as I entered the kitchen. There is a big box of pizza on the kitchen table filled with pepperoni pizza “Make yourself at home,”

  “Maybe I will,” I said while trying to be funny. Ben has a roughly big kitchen that leads to the living room with I huge flat screen on the wall. I got a plate from a cabinet and got some pizza and headed for the basement. “Whoa how did you sneak up on me like that?” Ben’s friend dick said. He was talking about halo of course. 

  “Randy Adam the man of the hour!” our friend Jeff shouted as he came downstairs with a bag of chips in his hand. James, Chandler, Rob, and Sam are all playing Halo 4 together. The basement is huge when you walk down stairs you have to turn left into the huge basement. The guys are playing halo on a 46 inch flat screen T.V. which is hooked up to an Xbox 360. There are three big couches one in front of the T.V. and one by the left wall then one by the right wall. “Hey Randy we are almost done with this map when we’re done do you want you play a map?” Chandler asked me while playing Halo.

  “Yeah man give me that controller when you’re done.” I replied.

  “So Chandler did you hear Josh is coming back to school,” Rob asked.

  “Are you serious? Not that jerk,” Chandler asked in a serious tone. I don’t really mess with chandler. He is about 5’7 he is very muscular and has long black hair that goes just above his eyes. Julie told me he plays football and is very popular and is a fast runner. He is a cool guy to hang out with as long as no one pisses him off. “Hey Randy has anyone told you who Josh barker is?” Rob asked me. I looked at him and answered

   “Yeah I’ve heard he is a popular jerk but that’s about it,”

  “He is more than a jerk dude he is arrogant and selfish the idiot acts like he owns the school. He also tries to act scary and tough to people shorter then him but the truth is he isn’t scary.” Rob explained.

  “What does he do shout at people when he is pissed?”

  “Pretty much yeah,” rob said as he is playing Halo 4. As I sit on the couch next to chandler he asked “Why don’t you take off your jacket Randy?”

  “I don’t want to,” I answered.

  “Alright man it’s cool,”

  “Hey the game’s almost over,” James announced. James is a bit taller than me he has short blond hair that is combed and he looks like a football player. I looked at the T.V and there is two people left playing its chandler vs. Rob. After a few minutes Rob won the game and now it’s time for me to play the game. We played for an hour telling random stories about different things that has happened in our lives. All of us have a skate board so we all have a story to tell about us skating.

 After another fun hour passed I left Ben’s house and headed home to get my skateboard all this talk about school was starting to stress me out. I got home grabbed my board and started to skate. The warm breeze pushed my hair back passed my ears which felt pretty good on my face. Whenever I’m stressed or depressed I go skating it helps clear my mind and puts me in a better mood. As I ride my skateboard I keep thinking about Julia I think I have feelings for her but I’m not sure in much really overwhelmed right now.
