Jack was popular. Everyone at college loved him! The students, teachers, caretakers and coaches all had a soft-spot when Jack came along. He was something the college had never had.
You had to admit, he was so attractive and had the best features. His hair was vibrant green and (quite literally) lit up the room when he walked in. He had this smile which was sincere, yet a little cheeky. But he didn't know of your existence, let alone your name. Well, to your knowledge he didn't.
All the girls swooned and melted internally even at his name; Jack however, only ever wanted one. And that was Signe.
Even Signe was beautiful. She had a perfect figure, she was smart and had an amazing humour. You were nothing to her.
They had been a couple since the beginning of secondary school.
Six years ago.
They were adorable together and two peas in a pod!
You, you were even more beautiful. Inside and out! Your hair was (y/h/c) and always looked good. Your (y/e/c) were stunning. You had this figure to die for. You kept yourself to yourself and often felt very self-conscious. There was nothing to be conscious about though, you were perfect. Yet Jack didn't notice any of it. Yes, you did have slight feelings for him. Not enough that people knew, just enough to hurt...
Sometimes, he would give you a look across the lecture hall or in the corridors. It meant nothing but to you, it was everything.
You didn't fantasise about him, you just had him on your mind. Seeing the couple together made you feel worthless.
(Y/bff) always told you not to bother with him.
"He's a fuckboy anyway!"
"He'll use you."
"He doesn't even notice you,

Were some of things they said to try and make you feel better. It never worked. They made it worse, as a matter of fact.
You knew that Jack wouldn't give you the time of day but, that's how life was for you. You had to deal with that and there was nothing you could do.
