Chapter Two: The Date To End All Dates

SAM'S POV

I got dressed and went to the living room to watch some T.V. I stayed there for a while, just contemplating life. I know, fun right? When I heard a knock on the door, I tried not to race to answer it. I didn't want to look TOO eager...

When I opened the door, I was surprised to see Luke Laufey. He had moved into our apartment complex a few weeks before. He smiled and said, "You look lovely this evening, Miss Morgan. Are you going somewhere?"

I smiled back, " Actually, I'm going on a date any minute now. Was there something you needed?"

"No, I just wanted to ask you something, but it can wait."

I shrugged. "Okay then, but if you ever need anything, just come here. See you." I closed the door and started thinking again. Luke was really handsome, with piercing blue eyes, black hair, and a mysterious smile. I shook my head, chastising myself for thinking like that when I was about to go on a date.

There was another knock on the door. I took a deep breath and went to answer it...

LOKI'S POV

Dang it! I was so close... So close to doing it! But her sweet and trusting smile stopped me. I started kicking the wall. Why does Samantha make me feel so weak? Oh, I love her so much it hurts to see her going on a date with another man! What's worse is that she is going on a date with my brother! Oh, I wish I could just die and be rid of this torment! I still watch her, even though she doesn't know it. I watch her opening the door for Thor, and yelling to her brother that she is leaving. I watch her take his arm and walk outside. I go back into my living area and punch the wall. I'm going to have to get someone to fix that... But until then, I will just watch my beautiful Samantha.

THOR'S POV

Samantha looked beautiful that evening. We walked to the big park in the middle of the city, and talked for a while. "How is it that you can take care of yourself and your siblings? You are only 19 years old!"

She smiled at me. My heart started pounding in my chest. "Well, it helps to have a good paying job, like the one I have now. Working for Tony Stark has its benefits." She was silent, then asked, "Have you ever seen Disney movies? I know its a weird question, but you seem like the type that hasn't."

"What is this thing called Disney? And what are movies?" She laughed.

"Oh, I'm going to have to change that... Later. Right now let's just enjoy each other's company." We walked around the park for a little longer, when I saw a carriage. I pointed it out to her and she gasped and started squealing. "I've always wanted to ride one of those! Let's go ride it! COMEONCOMEONCOMEONCOMEON!!!!!

I found some Midgardian money and paid the driver. We rode around the park and talked some more. I'd tell you what we talked about, but it would make your ears burst into flames (AN: people with dirty minds, no they were not talking about that kind of stuff!!) Sam pointed at everything and laughed about almost everything. She seems so happy, but I know there is sadness in her as well. She sometimes stops laughing and stares off into space. I want to keep her laughing and smiling. Wait, what? Why was I thinking that? I barely know her! But I want to learn more...

SAM'S POV

While we were riding in the carriage, I started getting this weird feeling that I was being watched. I turned around to see if there was anyone there. I saw a figure quickly duck behind a tree, but not before I saw his face. "Aw, crap," I whispered, "not him!"

Thor looked at me quizzically. "Is everything all right?" I nodded. "Yeah, everything's peachy keen! Nothing to worry about at all! Nope, nope!" He raised his eyebrow. Man, he's hot!

"I think everything is not all right. Who did you see that made you turn around so fast? Do I need to dismember him?" I could feel myself beginning to melt. No! I must stay strong! I shook my head.

"It's nobody, just an ex-boyfriend of mine, David. He doesn't exactly think we're over, and he keeps bothering me. I had to get a restraining order to keep him away from me, and change my phone number."

Thor's eyebrows shot up. "Certainly doesn't sound like nobody. Stay here, I'll take care of this." With that, he took a hammer (which I had not noticed until then) and flew-actually flew- over to where David was. I saw Thor gesture angrily, and then I saw him punch David in the face. He flew backwards until he hit a tree.

Alarmed, I jumped out of the carriage and yelled at the driver to stay there. I ran over to Thor and asked, "Did you have to hit him that hard? He might be dead!"

He smiled and said, "No, Samantha, he is not dead. But he will leave you alone now. I... persuaded him to maybe go live somewhere else." I gaped at him.

"That's your definition of persuasion? Man, I never want to be persuaded to do anything! That's freaking scary, dude!"

Thor grinned mischievously. "To persuade you, I would do this." He suddenly swept me into his arms and kissed me. Surprised at first, I kissed him back.

When we broke away, I panted,"If you persuaded every girl like that, you would rule the world." He laughed. "We should probably go back to the carriage... Crap," I said. "The driver freaking left us! Man, we gotta walk back!" I then noticed that David had started to move. He sat up, and looked around dazedly.

"Where am I? Oh! Sam! Hi... I wasn't following you! I was taking a normal walk in the park when your new boyfriend punched me in the face for no good reason! He'll be lucky if I don't sue him for assault and battery!" I rolled my eyes.

"David, if you tried to sue him, I'd just tell the judge that you were harassing me first, and that Thor did it in self defense. Now I suggest you go before I call the police."

David quickly got to his feet and ran. Thor looked at me. "See? Not dead!"

AN: Hey peoples! So, second chapter. Woo! I'm sorry this chapter took so long and that it's short, but I kind of had writers block. I know, writers block on the second chapter.
