Shadow Assassins. Chapter 1. Beginning Anew

My name is Kasumy and I, along with my best friend Emi, are shadow assassins. I track, torture and kill those who pose a threat to Konoha, 

my former home. I am about to turn fourteen and I have lost count of the amount of people I've killed in my quest. 

It wasn't always that way. Once I had a (not so) very different life. I had a home and a loving little brother whom I adored. I had love for the

village where I lived and I would do anything to protect it. I was an ANBU level s-class jonin kunoichi and I was feared by many. I strived to keep my home safe.

That is what I did. Emi and I. We sacrificed our happiness to protect the place we called home and the people we loved who still reside there. 

Let me tell you a little about the history of what brought me to this point. 

Once upon a time there was a man called Hagoromo Otsutsuki, known to the world as The Sage of the Six Paths. He  was a legendary

god-like figure who founded the arts of ninjutsu and created the ninja world. Hagoromo was born to Kaguya Otsutsuki, a princess who ate 

the forbidden fruit of the Shinju that appeared once a millennium in an effort to gain god-like abilities to put an end to the constant wars during that era.

The shinju was angered by the princess's actions and took on the monstrous form of the ten tails who went on a rampage to reclaim it's chakra.

As a result of the princess's actions, Hagoromo was born with the ability to manipulate the same type of powerful chakra like his mother. During his lifetime, he did many 

amazing things including defeating the Ten-Tails in battle. He sealed the beast within his own body, thus becoming the very first jinchuuriki in history.

He became revered as a god as a result of this victory. The Sage travelled across the land, spreading his ideals and religion, the Shinobi Sect,

which eventually came to be known as ninjutsu. His great deeds and ultimate desire to bring peace to the war-torn world made him widely known as the Saviour of this World

However, knowing that his death would unleash the Ten-Tails back into the world to continue its rampage and reclaim the chakra that mankind now possesses, 

Hagoromo separated the monster's chakra from its body before using before using Chibaku Tensei to seal the shell of it's physical form in what would become the moon.

From there, he used his Creation of All Things ability to divide the chakra into nine fragments that are each given a physical form and name.

Each of these tailed beasts are now sealed within jinchuuriki's of their own and are in the possession of the various shinobi villages. My brother, Naruto being one of them.

Hagoromo's ultimate wish was to establish peace across the world, but it was a goal that would never be achieved in a single lifetime. 

Knowing this, he chose to entrust his strength, dream, and legacy to his two sons. The older son, who inherited his "eyes" (his powerful chakra and spiritual energy), 

believed that power was the true key to peace. The Uchiha clan descended from him. The younger son, who inherited his "body" (his powerful life force and physical energy), 

believed that love was the true key to peace. The Senju clan descended from him. On his deathbed, Hagoromo chose his younger son to be his successor. 

Overcome by bitterness and envy, the older son fought against his brother, beginning a war between them. 

Their feud has continued on through their descendants: the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan. Both clans were no longer at war
