Chapter 20: Last Chapter

Mila's POV

Ouch! my head hurts! may migraine ata ako.. I can't sleep and i don't know why..

Ring!! Ring!!

Asan na ba yun? (hinahanap niya ang kanyang cellphone)

Mila: Hello?

Don Lucio: hija? Si Don Lucio ito. (he's rushing)

Mila: Bakit po kayo napatawag?

Don Lucio: Si Kenji, naaksidente silang dalawa ni Erin. i'm here at the hospital.

Mila's POV

My heart is beating so fast when i heard the news, baka ito din ang dahilan kung bakit hindi ako makatulog. But i was hurt noong nalaman ko kung sino ang kasama niya..

Don Lucio: Tinawagan kita para pumunta ka dito sa hospi--- (Mila cut him off)

Mila: marami pa po akong ginagawa ngayon, i'm really sorry....goodbye. (she didn't wait for him to answer back)
1 Week Later

Mila's POV

Gosh! hindi ako mapakali sa tawag na iyon. i'm trying to keep on ignoring that situation. ibinaling ko sa ibang bagay ang attention ko. But when i'm alone, hindi mawala sa isip ko na baka kritikal ang condition niya ngayon. hindi ako nakatiis kaya nakapagdesisyon akong puntahan siya sa hospital. i'm just hoping na baka nandun pa siya, kukumustahin ko lang ang kalagayan niya.

Minutes Later

Mila's POV

nakarating na ako, naabutan kong natutulog si Kenji, at dito ko din nalaman na namatay si Erin during the accident dahil mas grabe ang impact sa kanya noong bumangga ang sasakyan..

Don Lucio: Papunta sana siya sa america para sa business meeting. but i don't believe him because i know that's not the reason, hija.. alam kong gusto lang niya lumayo para makalimot. Kenji loves you, Mila. hindi niya man sabihin sa akin.

Mila: don't give me false hopes, lolo. i'm sure dadamdamin niya ng grabe ang pagkamatay ni Erin...

biglang naputol ang converstion nila ni Don Lucio, when they saw a slight movements of kenji. Seconds Later, they heard him murmur something. kaya lumapit sila para marinig nila ito.

Kenji: Mila, i missed you so much, please come back to me, i need you... i can't leave without you, you are my life (halos maiyak siya habang nagsasalita).. Mahal na Mahal kita...

Mila's POV

halos mabingi ako sa lakas ng tibok ng puso ko. dapat ba akong umasa sa mga salitang iyon?.. one thing for sure, my heart was listening closely. at tinanggap ko ang mga sinabi niya.

Simula noon, almost everyday na siyang bumibisita sa hospital. she's just waiting for Kenji to get better. Kahit alam niyang hindi dapat panghawakan at paniwalaan ang mga sinabi nito. But she keeps on hoping that kenji's words are real.

Mila's POV

i'm so happy when i saw that Kenji was already awake when i came in, nagpaalam naman agad si Lolo Lucio na aalis daw muna siya dahil may aasikasuhin muna sa opisina, ang pinapahiwatig niya ay makapagusap kami ni Kenji ng masinsinan. Pero natahimik lang kami.......

He's just staring at her, by those looks, it's the only way that can proof that all of his words are really meant something, why can't she realize that?.. Hindi siya umiiwas ng tingin kay Mila, tinitingnan niya lang ito habang unti-unting lumalakad si Mila papunta sa kanya. There are things that needs to be clarified..

Kenji: Mila.... (he smiles) i thought i was dreaming when i saw you...

Mila: yes i'm here and you're not dreaming (she almost cried) i'm sorry for hurting you. hindi ko alam na pinapasakitan ko ang mga sarili natin dahil sa ginagawa ko

Lumapit siya at umupo sa gilid ng kama habang hinahaplos ang kanyang buhok habang nakatitig lang sila sa isa't isa.

Moments Later,

Mila: Y--you said things when you were unconcious. i--is that true?.. Do you really---

Kenji cuts her off with a passionate kiss as if he will never let go of her, he locked her in his arms and mila kiss her back, they really missed each other.

Kenji: I Love You, Mila. (he said between her lips) the love for you that lingers in my heart is beyond what you expect. I love you more than my life.

Mila: Mahal na mahal din kita, Kenji. that's why i'm willing to let you go para maging masaya ka kay Erin. (napayuko siya at naiiyak)

Kenji: Pero hindi ko siya mahal, she's just a former girlfriend that can't accept we're over. *sigh* But she died because of me..

Mila: (She hugged her) it's not your fault, aksidente ang lahat, huwag mong sisihin ang sarili mo.

Minutes Later

Kenji: Bakit ka naman magpaparaya sa aming dalawa, eh hindi ko nga siya mahal? (curiously asking)

Mila: Nakiusap kasi siya sa akin na....

Kenji: You shouldn't believed her. and when you saw us that day, siya ang humalik sa akin.

Mila: Alam mo bang sobrang nagselos ako? yung puntong gusto ko na kayong pagsasakalin ng mga oras na iyon?

Kenji: Aha! so i was right, you we're jealous. kaya pala gusto mong magpa- annulment bigla ahhhh..

Mila: Tumigil ka. (hinampas niya si Kenji)

Kenji: Aray! salbahe ka ha! at dahil diyan, you need to pay for what you did.. (he kissed her hard on the lips)... Bakit nga pala nakikipagmabutihan ka sa Jacob na iyon?

Mila: Minsan lang naman ako sumama sa kanya lumabas, to tell him na tigilan niya na ako dahil may mahal na akong iba. Ganoon lang pala ang tingin niya sa akin, isang paraan para yumaman. He's only a part of my past. Hindi mo siya dapat pagselosan. Because i am inlove with someone else.. And that someone is "YOU"... sobra akong thankful kay Lolo Simon. Kung hindi dahil sa kanya i will never found my destiny.

Kenji: i thank him too, sweetie. He gave me my soulmate. he gave you to me whom i will spend the rest of my life with. (he kissed her) magpapagaling ako agad and then we'll get married again. this time, without any pretentions...

And they sealed with a kiss. from that moment on and from the coming days of their lives, they would live loving each other...

18 years Later

Kenji's POV

*heavy sigh* ookkkkaaayyy so we're married again yey!! for almost 10 years of marriage i can totally say that i was the happiest man in the whole world with a children of three and a very beautiful wife.. We don't meet people by accident, they are meant to cross our path for a reason.. i guess this is not a marriage of convinience after all..
