Chapter 10 | The Aftermath

Sophia's POV

The sun poured in, waking me from the temporary relief of yesterdays events.

Yawning, I shifted, trying to sleep again so I wouldn't have to think about yesterday and Louis.

It was useless. I couldn't sleep.

I woke up completely, my face caked with dry tears. I sniffled, sitting up.

I couldn't shake this feeling of constant betrayal off.

Maybe a shower will wake me up... Yeah.

I slid off all my clothes and went into the shower. I sighed, letting the steam envelope me. My wet, brown hair fell around my face and I bit my lip as it quivered.

I just let out a little cry as the tears just flowed out of my eyes.

Am I not good enough? He told me I was beautiful... Am I not that too? Ugh... Boys!

I let out a shriek of frustration as I shut off the water and slid on my black tank top with spaghetti straps and my grey sweatpants with my bunny slippers.

I plugged in my phone to my ihome and let the sad playlist blast through the house.

"Why do I even care? This is a damn arranged marriage anyways!" I shouted to no one.

Because you love him...

No! No I don't! He's an arse who doesn't care...

Why would you care that he didn't care if you didn't love him?

Could- Could I love Louis Tomlinson? The boy who I'm supposed to get married to? The one who just broke my heart?

My mind pondered the thought. No. I can't. And even if I did... He just broke my heart. Fuck him. He's just an arse. And Eleanor! That little bitch... She was about to sleep with Louis...

'My feelings are all scrambled up' I thought as I groaned in frustration as I ran my fingers through my brown hair.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a knock downstairs. It was Louis. I'm sure of it. He's probably going to try and apologize. I sighed. I stood up and turned the music off. I walked down the steps and stood in front of the door. My had reached for the door knob. I grabbed it, but I didn't open the door. I looked through the small peephole and saw Louis. Of course. He started to knock again. Should I open it?

"Sophia, I know your home. Please open up and just hear me out." He said and I laughed bitterly.

"You and Eleanor were about to have sex. You were on top of her, Louis, half naked might I add! Damnit, I actually thought you cared. I lost you and my parents..." My voice cracked as I slid down against the door.

"I have no one." I whispered and Louis banged the door. "Sophia, you have me. Please let me in, love. Please just listen to me." He pleaded and I sniffled.

"Okay." I whispered shakily. My hands shook and I looked at them strangely. They never shook before. Mum always made sure-

Mum. Dad... Gone.

Trembling as tears streamed down my face, I opened the door. Louis's eyes widened and he opened his arms.

Louis POV

She needs to open the door...

I messed up big time. Hearing her cry made me even more anxious to explain.

Despite the fact she was furious with me, she ran into my open arms and sobbed. Her head buried into my chest and I felt her cling to me desperately.

"They're dead Louis! They left me! And your left me too Louis! Why did you leave me? I think I love you!" She yelled. Her hands balled into fists as she screamed, hitting my chest.

She loved me? Crap... I messed up big time.

The worst part is... I think I love her too.

"I hate you! You left me Louis, how could you!" She screamed angrily. Screams escaped her lips and she kept punching me, but I felt nothing.

Nothin but pain for causing her to feel this way.

She kept screaming, her body shaking.

"I hate you! Louis, you left me and I needed you! You left me for Eleanor!" She screamed.

"Sshhh... Love, I'm sorry. Breathe, okay? Sshh..." Her hands fell to her sides. "I'm sorry Louis, I don't hate you. I'm so sorry..." She burst into tears again and clung to me for dear life.

"It's okay. Breathe okay? I'm here. I'm here and I'm not leaving."
