Chapter 2

-Mady's POV-

Okay, so it's not that I hate Michael, he can just be a jerk sometimes. I mean he's been nice a couple times before, but he's so rude to Luke and a bunch of other people it's really starting to piss me off.

"Oh barf. Get a room you two." Luke said and angrily stabbed a piece of lettuce. I looked up and saw Emma and Mikey pull away from a kiss.

Gross.

With that, the bell rang and everyone walked to class.

Emma left school with Mikey so Luke and I left just the two of us.

As we rounded the one corner I could hear yelling. I pulled Luke to a halt. Listening closely, I could tell it was Emma's voice, then a horrific sound no best friend want to hear,

"Stupid slut! Shut the hell up!" I couldn't resist I turned around pulled Emma back then went up to Michael and slapped him with all my force.

Emma pulled me back as Luke continued yelling and hitting him.

We all walked to my car, seeing as we all had our licences. But Emma hasn't gotten her own car yet, and Luke's mom needed his today.

Luke had one little scratch above his eyebrow from Michael, but that was it. Although as far as I could tell Mikey got it pretty bad.

Luke's pretty protective of us. He has two older brothers who taught him well. Luke took it that responsibility upon himself to protect us, even though we do have older brothers, he still feels the need to protect us.

The girl who ends up with him will be very lucky.

We hung out at my house for a while because, my dad away for work, my mom was away for a girls weekend, and my brother was gone somewhere (I don't really pay attention to him), so, the house was all ours.

It was 10:30 pm when the magical question was asked by yours truly,

"So what happening tonight? Do you want me to drive you guys home or...?"

"Can I spend the night? Don't feel like going home." Emma laughs nervously.

"Course." I nodded then we both turned to Luke. "You can stay too if you want."

"No my friend Ash is coming over for the weekend, I'll just give him your address so he can pick me up."

"So you're going to give some random guy I don't know, my address?" I raise my brow, amused.

"Yes, he's gunna come rape you tomorrow night when you're home alone." He replied laughing. "No, he goes to college."

"I don't believe this, first you say you have other friends, then that they go to college? I'll believe it when I see it!"

"Well you won't because I'm keeping you guys away from him. Especially Mady."

"Why?!?" I whined.

"Because, you'd be all over that."

"Can I at least see a picture?"

"Nope."

"Boo you!"

"He just texted me. He's here. Bye guys." he said as he got up.

Emma and I escorted him to the door, then, once he was out, we stared out the big bay window trying to get a look at the other guy in the car. Sadly he was on the other side and we couldn't see him.

As Luke got in he looked at us and waved, laughing and shaking his head.

We watched as he turned to the unknown boy, then turned and pointed to us. The other boy leaned over to look but I couldn't get a good look before he disappeared back into his seat then sped down the road.

I turned back to the couch flipping my turquoise coloured hair back over my shoulder.

Yup that's right, turquoise, Emma and I dye our hair together quite a bit, but we both have strong thick hair, and we take breaks from colours every once in a while, so it really didn't faze us that much.

We sat on the couch and played on our phones for a while before changing into pajamas.

Before too long we fell asleep.
