Charlie's pov
She was wearing joggers. A simple outfit so I went along with it. I threw on joggers, a black muscle tee, an OKC thunders hat, and my black nike slides. I styled my hair to make it just the way she likes it, messy but neat. I told my bro that I was going to see Sels and he offered me a ride saying he was taking suzie out anyway. I nodded and texted Sels if she wanted me to pick her up. She gladly replied with a yes.
Score.
This is it my mind said as billions of thoughts raced around my head. She sat down as I opened the door for her. I slid into the seat next to her, making sure I'm not too close.
"Hi." I said as I ran my hand threw my neatly groomed hair.
Fuck it I ruined it.
"Hi." She smiled back.
My eyes looked at her outfit. She looked drop dead gorgeous.
"Your wearing joggers too?" She asked.
"Huh? What? Oh yeah... Joggers."
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
She nodded slightly and starting talking to my brother.
I don't know if i can do this. Ask her I mean. It's crazy. I love her and i don't know if she loves me back. But I sure as hell hope she does. She knows I'm a fuck up. A big fuck up. But only for her. Only to see her smile, I don't want to make her cry. Not again. Not ever. I need her. I need her in my life.
"Charlie? R u getting out?" My brother asks with a smirk on his face.
That little bitch.
"Yea calm ur ass boy." I laugh while getting out of the car.
By the time I'm out of the car, she's halfway to the tree. Our tree.
"Do you remember the first time we met?" She asks with tears brimming on her soft eyes.
"Of course I do. You fell and I picked you up. And I've been doing it ever since."
I say softly and I move the hair from her face.
She smiles softly and looks me in the eyes.
Our gap gets closer and closer, I lean in slowly hoping she does the same.
She pounds her lips onto me, sucking my bottom lip. We both come out gasping staring at each other, neither one of us saying a word.
"I- uh sorry." She rambles while she puts her head and down and starts playing with her fingers.
"Don't be. That was amazing. I love you Sels." I blurt not knowing what I was saying.
"Crap-" I'm cut off by her arms engulfing me into a hug.
"I love you to Charlie. I'm so sorry it took me so long. So long." She whispers into my ear as her hug gets tighter.
I love you much more I wanted to say. But it was to early for that.
I wiggled out of her hug, and got down on one knee.
"Sels. 6 years I've been waiting for this moment. My moment. Our moment. Sels we have been there for each other through thick and thin, had our fair amount of fall outs, hell we just got out of one. Sorry. Um.... I love you Sels. I love you so much. Will you be my girlfriend?" I ramble looking her dead in the eyes.
Her eyes twinkle as she beams into a smile and frantically nods her head up and down. No surprise there.
I take her hand and grasp it firmly. She's mine bitches back the hell away. Forever mine. Finally right! Omg. I have a 5 day memorial weekend this is great.
