Scary Love

(Emma's POV. Set during the time that Killian is the Dark One.)

I was scared when I met you,

Right from the start.

Perhaps because I always knew

We'd someday share a heart.

Should I let you be my love?

I asked, as if I had a choice

I fell so fast I could hardly catch my breath,

Long enough to hear your voice.

If that love were taken from me

Would I fall, should I fall,

Could my heart withstand the pain

Or feel anything at all?

Now has my fear come true,

Is our love soiled beyond repair?

Or is it hiding in the darkness

Deep inside you, who knows where?

There is no way but forward

I can't rest until I'm home,

Back in your love that haunts my heart

That is weary as I roam.

I was scared that I'd lose you,

Right from the start.

And the more I hurt the more I'm sure,

You'll never lose my heart.
