The paper is nailed to the wooden door of the lighthouse. The sun sets over the horizon just behind it, coloring the sky a molten orange. Seagulls hovering above the calm ocean, following the cool breeze wherever it may go. Two people, a man and a woman approach the lighthouse. Neil and Eva see all of this happening from the roof of the lighthouse where they appeared after the jump.

Dr. Watts- "CRIKEY NUTCRACKERS!"

Dr. Rosalene- "You aren't Australian."

Dr. Watts- "Who cares?! We're like 20 billion nanometers off the ground and standing on a damn flag pole‼"

Dr. Rosalene- "Just jump down' it's not like you can be hurt here."

Dr. Watts- "Are you kidding me? It's a fricken sky-dive‼"

Eva walks around and behind Neil.

Dr. Watts- "You can't stay on here, you can't get off, God, I hate it when this happens! I swear if this plac—

Eva pushes him off. He yells at her while falling.

Dr. Watts- "EVA, WHAT THE $@%#?!"

Dr. Rosalene- "...Wuss."

Neil, now that he has collected himself, watches the two people looking at the lighthouse.

River- "...Why would they abandon her like this?"

John- "I suppose she's just no longer needed."

River- "No longer needed...?"

John- "By ships, I mean. You know how it is, now that everything has GPS and all that."

She turns and looks at the lighthouse in awe.

John- "Look, River,"

He walks up to the piece of paper, and pulls the nail out of the door.

John- "This place means a lot to me too, and I've been thinking... In our current state, things have been pretty stable. If we save well, in a few years, we could afford to build a house on top of here. It's going to be a squeeze, but I'm sur—

River- "We'd be able to see her from the window‼ In the morning, at night, we'd always be nearby! And... and we could walk here any time! She'll never be alone again, John‼"

She hugs him, crying tears of joy.

River- "I'll be able to watch over her every day!"

John- "Yeah, we will."

Eva falls from the sky, and lands next to Neil.

Dr. Rosalene- "Good for them."

Dr. Watts- "You gotta be kidding me. You remember what happens, don't you? It's like watching a train wreck."

Dr. Rosalene- "The ending isn't any more important than any of the moments leading to it. The important thing is that over here, they are happy."

Eva starts walking down the path.

Dr. Rosalene- "Let's move on."

They begin to walk away towards the house when Neil realizes the conversation between John and River counted as the first memory they needed.

Dr. Watts- "Wait a minute,"

Eva turns to face Neil.

Dr. Watts- "They were referring to the lighthouse as 'Anya', weren't they?"

Dr. Rosalene- "I suppose so."

Dr. Watts- "Then, that River... she declined treatment for the sake of a lighthouse? Isn't that a bit too extreme?
